I don't disagree here. But we haven't seen QD clean up the weak points in his game in 3 games yet.

Once we see him have a steady game I'll stop thinking that getting JG ready is vital for this season. Until then, I can't get behind QD being our best and/or only bet at QB.

I get the coaches supposedly know what they are doing and there is evidently some complexities to our offense. But on the surface I just have a hard time getting behind a pro-style QB in this system. I still think the QB needs to be mobile (more mobile than QD anyway) for this to work as designed.

QD's mechanics are in desperate need of refinement, to say the least. I'm far from an educated observer but even an layman like me knows that it's "bad" to throw off your back foot--and that's something QD does more often than not.

Someone said it a few days ago, he "steps out of" his throws, or throws off his back foot, but rarely steps into it. I think if he can get out of those habits and learn his progressions/stop staring down receivers, he can be pretty good. Still not ideal for this offense.

I'm really questioning how much the coaches even tell them to go through their progressions because it has been the same in that regard through all the QBs the last 5 years.

So far Canales has been a bust.

QD footwork is all over the place and some of the worst I’ve seen.

JG is as talented as anyone and he’s not ready to step in and make plays yet. He has to be developed.

I don't think we know that about JG from limited action against ISU. Again, he started shaky, but it was his first game ever. He got better as the game went on and if not for a few bad drops his numbers look a lot better. We'll know more about JG Saturday if Butch actually beats UMass like he's supposed to and we don't see Ohio game again.

If they actually let the backups get some playing time this game.

In regards to coaching and corners, our grass currently looks like this.

Off topic (whatever topic it is), but where is Glitch? He is good people, and brings laughs and optimism to the RF.

Based on how bad Dormady has looked. He threw 12 passes against ISU and got better once he settled down. We've seen enough of Dormady to know that he isn't good and offers nothing to this offense. At least when JG got under pressure he could tuck the ball and run and not throw off of his back foot into triple coverage. JG is the future and I'd rather play him now and get him experience than trot Worley 2.0 out there every week. He may not be as good as Worley. I don't remember Worley's decision making being as bad as Dormady's anyway.

I think that you are being hyper-critical of Dormady. He has not performed as well as I had hoped, but I think he has been better than Worley. And, if JG ain't ready, he ain't ready.

We can talk about Big Al and Brittany Jackson having their own personal springer show.

Does she have any eligibility left, so she can join the football team? If she can scare AH, to the point he almost feels he needs a restraining order, she could bring some toughness to the team.

Maybe better than JR Worley. Sr Worley was light years ahead of Dormady in everything except god-given arm talent.
