I feel like the offense really got in a groove late. The OL was imposing their will, QD was hitting the passes, and JK was not going to be stopped. Hopefully that's how we are going to play ball going forward.
I felt Scott called a fine game. Nothing special, but with execution, a lot more would have been had. The exception to that is routes being run 3 yards before the sticks on 3rd down. At least 2-3 instances of that, which stopped drives. Just run to the stinking sticks.
When Marshall hurt his arm and Jordan came in we stopped them easily on 3 straight plays and they punted. Maybe the kid is just special. If he stays healthy i bet GT has a good year.
I have about 5 families coming in from Florida tomorrow. It'll be a busy week but I think football will he's great distraction. any ideas for mass feeding via grill that's different from dogs and burgers?
Amongst all the "he locked in on his receiver"s and "threw off his back foot"s, I didn't notice the scouting report where a first time starter kept his cool during a 14 point comeback including a 93 yard drive just to TIE the game. The reward was two overtimes against a team that couldn't be stopped offensively. ONE nonconversion, failure to generate a TD or (egad!) an interception and he's the reason we lose. That pressure cooker has chewed up many a quality QB including our very own Dobbs against A&M last year. I'm not sold that Dormady was "nervous" in the early going. You go into the game knowing that Jennings is a go to guy and mandatory target. Trying to make that happen without being allowed to develop that feel and trust a quarterback has with their dependable playmakers would make you look off-balance when it doesn't immediately happen. He appeared to be developing chemistry on the fly...especially when JJ left the game. Guarantano had his helmet on and no doubt would have entered the game if Dormady hadn't generated that first scoring drive. He was communicating with his OL and setting his receivers in the proper formation like a multi-year starter by then...it was noticeable. Afterwards you had to ride that and see if he could pull this game off...spoiler alert, he did. Definitely hasn't locked up the starting job but has earned the chance to do so. Bad QBs don't come out with a win in games like this...they just don't.

Somebody needs to post the blatant no call of holding on Gaulden, the facemark on Callaway, and multiple other cut blocks down the field that weren't called. It went both ways. They just weren't calling penalties.

Brisket!!!
Edit: Grill not smoker. Brisket wouldn't work. Pork Tenderloin though is great on the grill.

After week #1
Tennessee's offense ranked #1 in the SEC in rushing yards/attempt against P5 opponents
Quinten Dormady ranked #1 in the SEC in passing yards against P5 opponents
Marquez Callaway ranks as the #1 receiver in the SEC against P5 opponents
I know, I know. It's just one game. Pump the brakes. Right? Let's see what we can do against a FCS opponent before we start thumping our chests.

Don't bring facts in here, it does not fit the narrative that we suck and Dormady sux.
