If he was to already transfer after one game then he wouldnt be the guy to lead us to where we want anyway. One smidge of adversity and run? It's not like Dormady is a freshman like the Barnett/hurts situation. It would speak volumes to me about him to up and leave already. One snap away from being starter. It's not like Q lock down the spot forever like Hurts did.

If it's any by of truths He better get his mind right because Martinez comes off to me as a future star and leader

Have we backed off Felix?

My bad Bruin, you are right we are still on Felix, I meant Justin Fields... not enough coffee yet! I know it's probably too late, but he hasn't committed yet and I don't think we pursued him due to JG... things can change quickly!

I think Guarantano was frustrated because the offense was performing so poorly and he thought he could do a better job. Natural to be frustrated as a competitor.

Well maybe it's OK for a player to continue to shop himself after committing by transferring (I don't like it, but maybe the rules allow it), but transferring when one has championship aspirations because one is not getting playing time is not the way to march toward this goal, blame or no blame.

Oh yea it's bad for championship goals. I just don't blame kids in some cases for being selfish. This is one of those times. Now I hate the loophole that allows him to play next year which encourages a quick choice. I hate that but as long as that is there I don't blame him or anyone else. The Bama qb did it last year

I'm good with that but not good with it still being a topic heading into an obvious game he will play in

I haven’t read back through the thread to see your basis for this, so I’ll ask. Why should no one blame him?

Freak, he poisons every thread he posts in, and this crap just spreads from the FF to the RF.

This kind of stuff, where you post sympathy for some impressionable young man who is feeling sorry for himself just encourages said young man to follow through if he is having negative feeling.

God, we not only eat our own we offer them up to other schools and encourage them to go.

And then someone like this Bruin gains some kind of sick internet credibility. It sure is disappointing when you love something to see it sliced up a little at a time.

Like I have said before, it's your site.

But it's also your responsibility.

Who here is going to the game tomorrow? I honestly hadn't thought about it until TG mentioned it earlier about going by himself. I don't have anyone to go with but am now considering it.

How hard would a single ticket be to get, at least a decent seat?

Which is the most important thing. Talented QBs can't afford to sit for three years. If that is what is staring them in the face they owe it to their future to transfer. It's very different than other positions.

Cept Peterman had the same amount of eligibility as Dobbs. When both are sophomores in eligibility and Dobbs cemented the starters spot, Peterman needed to transfer if he EVER wanted to start...JG is two years behind Dormady. Reiterating, not the same situation.

Anyone ever go to a game all by yourself? I think I'm going to the game tomorrow without anyone to sit with. It's going to feel strange.

I have for Titans games. I had 4 season tickets and no one would even take them for free. You can really delve into the X's and O's and that's fun but I'd rather have friends or family there.

Yeah that's what I was saying it'll have no hot water. Hot water strengthens hurricanes. sorry for the confusion. Florida construction code is designed to take hurricanes. Some won't make it of course but Gainesville probably won't be hit hard. these hurricanes usually die quicker than projections

Florida construction isn't prepared for 185 mph winds. Not much is.

Well.. if it's gonna ruin the game experience for you just buy my ticket and I'll meet ya there.. 😀😀

I already have a ticket (don't know where the seat is) that I'm picking up tomorrow. I'd be willing to meet anyone that might be going. I'm sure it won't be completely full.

This QB situation was always going to be tricky and there was always going to be a chance that either QD or JG would transfer if they weren't named the starter. CBJ still hasn't stated that QD is the clear #1. He continues to say both will play and they're both one snap away from going in the game.

Tough to manage a situation like this publicly. It's unfortunate that it happened, but it's even more unfortunate that it's getting so much negative publicity. Media scrutiny is what blew up the Hurd situation, then piling on pushed it over the cliff.

I get that but its tough for a kid that thinks they are a future NFL draft to wait 4 years to start. Especially when some trust is lost in the coaching staff which seems to have clearly happened imo.

He brought it on himself by not naming a starter when everyone knew what was going on. Tough spot but he owns this mess

I think more than anything JG is itching to play. He likely thinks he can show us all, including the coaches, something during an actual game that he either can't or hasn't shown in practice.

Once he gets some reps in he may well be happy.

Same reason we shouldn't blame Nate Peterman

Totally different scenarios. They were basically the same class. One here is a junior the other a freshman. Unless he were to transfer to a crap program, he'll face competition similar to here. I would be shocked if he transfers.
