I don't understand why everyone is complaining. Nobody likes the decisions the staff made last year and even more so bc the general consensus was that they were too stubborn to change. This year, they change staff and game plan to adapt and everybody complains. The fact is, every coach in D-1, especially p5 conferences have been doing this for a LONG time. They didn't just walk in to an interview off the street and get hired. We can all have an opinion but the truth is, ain't nobody on this board been a head coach at this level. And chances are, no one on this board ever will be. It's easy to sit back and criticize and assume and deal in hypotheticals. Let the people that earned the positions do their jobs. If the results don't pan out, the people who make the big decisions will do there jobs.
I swear some of you miss the point about what it means to be a fan.

Starting the season 1-0 in the most exciting game played during the opening week has been almost unbearable.

Seems to me the negas on twitter need to back off and realize this is an internal thing that the players love. Vol Twitter is sharing it with fans mainly because those of us who 'get it' enjoy seeing our young men get credit for something.

It really seems like the players love all of these things that's butch is doing that vol Twitter hates. It's ridiculous. If they like it, I don't care what those "fans" or analysts think.

Wondering where all this Callaway love was when I argued for him to be the punt returner over Josh Smith. Simply stated "use your talent" and this was met with "what has he proven to be called a talent?" His punt return TD against Tennessee Tech last season was excused because the Golden Eagles "were using their backup punter". :w00t: Saying Josh Smith was Devrin Young holding off Evan Berry didn't go any better. :loco: All that to say that the coaches can be excused for not utilizing Callaway like Jerry Rice in the first game of the year.

Let us hope that that we see good fundamental defensive line play regardless of the number of quarters played. I did not see it even in the first few series by our starters last game.

Some of you guys really need to get together and write a fan code of conduct so those that don't meet your expectations have a reference.
