Two things can be true at the same time. We both didn't play well and got screwed incorrectly and unfairly resulting in the end of the game. Our poor play most of the night doesn't make that call okay to end the game.

The argument they are making is we got O yards on 2 plays, and it’s 100% more likely we get some yards on 2 short passes or a run straight up the middle

And the argument I'm making is that the "FG line" on TV was about a 50 harder, something McGrath wouldn't make if you gave him 100 tries. You guys are talking as if we get the ball inside the 35 and it's a guaranteed win. Why do you think Heupel refused to kick that 1st FG in overtime?

Bearing that in mind, it's crazy to me to take a play that had a wide open WR for the win and say it was a bad play call. Insane.

Yes we could have still lost, point is the refs whether for or against UT are lousy and these schools conferences etc. continually have there little kiss ass interviews after these games with the gee golly gee bobby bowden bs. I do not and have never blamed them for losses out right just assisting on situations. Nothing silly about that

We scored 45 points...even with Hooker sucking...please don't blame the offensive staff. Purdue gambled that he would suck, one of the Purdue coaches basically said what they were going to do when he was talking about Hookers deep percentage. If Hooker was just a little better...we would have run them....They gambled and won.

Until we put a decent defense on the field this is what we have to look forward to...BUT...when we do, and I believe we WILL in time, we are going to win BIG.

I think they are hired and paid by and managed by the conferences.

All game, I kept saying how I was amazed that the refs kept letting the play go on after the big purdue backs were stopped at the line.. giving them every opportunity to advance the ball… then the last play happened. Wow.

Nobody from UT will say anything publicly. They never do. At most, UTAD will send a polite letter to the SEC noting their grievances, Sankey will ignore it and the inept officiating, bias and look-the-other-way nonsense will continue as it has for years. The SEC wants member institutions to take their multi-millions, shut up and support the gravy train that keeps everyone fat and happy. And UT seems to be content to do exactly that.

What inclines people to say this? Do you think it makes you look smarter than the rest of us or something? We lost on our last possession which was 100% informed by the failure of the officiating crew to get the call right. If you want to just rip farts and inhale them all night thinking they smell like roses go for it, but the truth is with adequate officiating we win this game by 14+.

If whistles don’t matter, it makes forward progress more subjective than it already is. You play through the whistle! Did you see Purdue stop playing?

The action on the field determines the outcome. If a ref accidentally drops his whistle the play doesn't keep going until he can pick it up. He killed the play with his arms before blowing the whistle. He was running in before he blew the whistle. He determined (incorrectly) that the play was over and that's all that matters.

The guy watching Tillman is almost directly perpendicular (he's near the pylon) so good chance he couldn't see it from the angle. Still was a huge missed call.

While I am pissed, the overturned call on the Payton catch was ****ing horseshit as well. **** this Bowl and **** that officiating crew......where's the Tylenol

The rigged calls started in the first quarter and never stopped. Watch the film. The touchdown at the end was simply one spectacular example.
