I'm now 52 and had both my knees replaced (1 in January 15, the other in April 15) 2 years ago. Best thing I ever did. I was bowlegged (have been all my life) but my knees just kept getting worse and worse to the point I was pretty much unable to walk more than a few blocks because of the pain. Bone on bone. I'm now as mobile as I was when I was 30, however I can't run but can walk, workout and play golf. It was a very tough 6 months recovering, but after that it's been great.

Why can't you run? Is it too hard on the new joint?

For my fellow Dark Tower friends (and those who disagreed with my opinion of Hollywood butchering epics), this review is exactly what I predicted would happen:

I won't go support it until it's out in Redbox, but I just knew these egotistical directors and producers would shoehorn it into their usual template instead of trying to visually adapt it.

Any of the VN MDs. Since I recently moved, I have not established myself with a new doctor here in Murfreesboro. However, I have been on 15 mg daily dose of Meloxicam for about a year now. My wife was just prescribed diclofenac sodium tablets to help reduce inflammation in her feet. (Bunions aggravated recently by an injury) She is worried about taking it due to the list side effects and now she is worried about my liver being on Meloxicam so much. The fact that I enjoy my rum doesn't ease her worry either. Should I go see a doc about cycling off Meloxicam? Is there something that doesn't affect the liver so much that would be a reasonable substitute? Or should I consider a different treatment for my chondromalacia?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Dude I will be taking patients in December

I still feel some pain when I run (nothing like what it was), I can walk fast but the pressure of running is just too much. Also, I want to try and put as little wear and tear on these knees as I can and running is just not advised.

If you guys want your kids to have a good school year give their teacher a $50 towards their LIQUIDation fund if you know what I mean

What do you fellas think about tearing down confederate statues?

poll in there says 71% of people oppose it.

Tearing down some civil war statues and and pissing on George Washington's memorial today.

#JustLiberalThings

I'll tel you, sick of the liberal medias lies. Trying to pain Trump as a racist is just dividing this country more. What people will do for their agenda and ratings. It's sickening

Its a pretty big gray area for me.

Absolutely none of them should be torn down by some 3rd world mob. That isn't how things need to be handled.

I think there are tons of battle markers, regiment memorials (Knoxville has a few from both sides), and similar things that are simply markers of history. They show where something happened, and they should be left alone (and properly cared for in a perfect world).

Now, I also think there are a few memorials in different places that were put up as a way for certain groups to thumb there nose at others. Those could stand to be moved to another location (museum, private land, etc), but there needs to some serious thought and study from a neutral perspective put into any decisions like that (I realize how impossible it sounds).

History is ugly. That's why we study it. Knowing that, you absolutely can not project todays values and emotions on what people did in the past. That accomplishes nothing.

My major beef is that people don't even educate themselves. Many of the people fighting the civil war were more upset about the federal government trampling on the rights endowed to the states by the Constitution. Yes slavery was a factor and a horrible institution that needed to be ended. However, most of the generals that are having their statues torn down were simply fighting against what they saw as an oppressive federal government. Washington and his crew did the same thing and we see them as heros. Lee and Forrest do it, but lose (key factor), and they are seen as racist bigots just trying to keep the slaves in their rightful places. Read more than just what your elementary school teacher tells you to read and you'll find a vastly different picture than the one people think they know today.

States should have the right to keep or remove any statues.

But seriously, they are statues. People in this country get hung up on symbols so they can deflect dealing with real issues.

You weren't wrong. They stole the heart from King's books, IMO and no matter how hard they tried they couldn't get it back in. It still was good visually and they did sprinkle in refrences that were near to other items in the books or other DT related books. I still thought it was pretty good despite that. Some haunting visuals and action that, I felt, was new-always a plus in action movies, are why I still recommend, but if you haven't read the books- I think you would be confused.

Just my thoughts

Well done guys...

Taking down the statues will do nothing but fuel the flames of more racism. Removal of the statues will only make the people that are fighting for the removal happy for about a week and then they'll say "Well, that was fun. What can we do next?" It will do nothing toward making racists less of racists.
