All entertainers use their platform to espouse their beliefs. Do you complain about Kid Rock or Ted Nugent or Kirk Cameron or any other conservative entertainer. Although Kid Rock is all over the spectrum as far as political affiliation is concerned.
I don’t know very much about any but Cameron. Guy is actively involved in Christian ministry and makes Christian films. He isn’t out there telling people how to vote at an awards show. Oh, and how do you think people in Hollywood think about him? Would he even have an opportunity for a leading role anymore? You know the answer, and you know why.

But as I said, nobody would care if it were equal. It’s the fact that it’s all one sided that is so annoying. I don’t care about the political opinions of elites who wake up in the morning and eat breakfast prepared by their personal chef before getting dressed in their expensive suits and throwing on a 50k watch as they get into their Bentley to drive into Hollywood. But they think I should care. They think that their opinion is more important than other Americans. It’s really a sickening spectacle. But clearly their opinion isn’t shared by many Americans or we’d have a different president, wouldn’t we?

Same on both sides.
Dixie chicks found their "booed off stage" moment also.

It's a staple in politics. It's ok when 'our side' does it but bothersome when 'they' do. And neither side will ever admit the similarities between them.
The “two sides” in Hollywood disappeared a long time ago

One of my favorite things about rock. You could have Nugent perform in a W. Bush shirt, followed by Springsteen in a Clinton tee and nobody really give a dang.
That's awesome.

Kirk Cameron is really not a good actor....he produces his own movies, which is admirable. There is a market for that. He is not black balled because of his beliefs, he is black balled because he is not really good at acting.

Lol, wasn't the point. The stage, the prevailing atmosphere. Hollywood/Nashville, doesn't matter. Enjoy the work, skip their speeches.
Which is what I do. I love movies. Don’t want to be force fed political opinions by liberal elites. Thus I avoid award shows and Twitter

I usually reserve going to the Theaters for Horror, Action, or Comedy. Which is rarely the type of movies Oscars care about.

Can't really get into a good drama or serious movie while some kid is snapping the whole experience a few feet away with blinding light from their smartphone. There's tons of good reasons not to bother seeing stuff at a theater honestly. I got a 5 year old though, and it's one of those things when can do together and get of the house that doesn't require much planning or good weather.

people in here regurgitating Elites, 1%'s, Liberal Hollywood with no sound argument to back up their claims.

Black Panther. 12 years a slave. Get out (though I will admit I like the way Peele approached it). Anything shown during the Vancouver film festival
What was political about Black Panther the movie? The Movie is literally an adaptation of a Marvel Character. The buzz surrounding the movie is different than the movie. If you can not separate the two, that is on you not the movie. 12 years a slave was an actual memoir....like a true story. So you have problems with movies of color? Because every movie you named was about People of Color. That sounds like a personal problem.

Don't want either. But its funny that there's only one group out there trying to force feed political opinions through sports and entertainment. Interesting.
You must not pay attention then. Because there are many conservative entertainment and sports figures that chime in. You just choose to focus on what you don't like.
