I like shooting, used to work at a skeet range just have other interests these days.

And yes love to come over this summer I'll bring the pinkie beer!

I have a legal AR SBR 300B/O with a legal Suppressor. Complete blast to shoot. No ear protection required. It's a tiny little thing but so fun to shoot, especially at steel.

The biggest evidence against the Chinese (CCP) is ... when China (and WHO) were still telling the rest of the world that the virus was not transmitting human to human .. China was allowing and encouraging (via the WHO) international flights out of Wuhan .. but China was not allowing anyone to leave Wuhan and travel to other parts of China. This is how other parts of China saw very little spread of the virus but the rest of the world was engulfed very quickly.

China knew how contagious this virus was and knowingly allowed it to infect the rest of the world. It will take much longer to recover from this economically than most understand. Since only Wuhan was affected in China, they will be THE major economic power in the world very soon as they have planned all along.

The US needs to open up as much as possible now .. only going into localized lock downs to prevent local hospitals from being overrun... which was supposed to be the plan from the beginning.

Ultimately I expect different states will need to operate on different timelines. Looks like Ohio is ready to go on 5/1. I suspect Georgia will take longer since we don't peak until after that.

I had a discussion recently with a neighbor who absolutely supports tighter gun control laws and she could not understand the need for a suppressor unless it was for ill intent. I asked her if she had ever been to a gun range and she said she actually had, so I asked her if she had worn ear protection, which she said she had because it was really loud there. I said exactly, and that the expectation of having to use a weapon in defense will most likely be in your home. In a home defense situation you are not going to put on ear protection, one because you likely may not have time, but two, you need to be able to hear clearly any noises the intruder makes. But if you fire that weapon in your house without ear protection, or a suppressor, your ears may still be ringing a year from now.

I have several AR/M4 types, but have never owned one of the AR pistols. Have you had any issues with the pistol over-gassing because of the shorter barrel/gas line? I had a friend that had that issue but replaced the gas block with an adjustable one. and hasn't had any further issues.

Not if the rest of the world is too poor to buy their goods.

Most people that are against suppressors have only seen them in movies. They're still loud. Some say you still need ear protection especially if you are not using subsonic ammo. Some countries encourage use of suppressors and it's considered rude not to use them.

It's difficult to find reliable subsonic ammunition in 556 hence the reason for 300BO. Shooting ammo under 1100 fps to achieve subsonic requires so little powder you don't have an issue with over gassing.

Mine is a pistol length at 7.5" barrel but I've not had
any issues with over gassing. Mine is a stamped true SBR so I'm not sure if the buffer and spring is different than I pistol setup. I've had a 556 over gas a little but I just moved the gas block slightly off center and that fixed that ( a little redneck Ingenuity 😁). I'll see if I can dig up a pick of my little 300BO SBR.

Oh and... Another positive about using a suppressor is muzzle control. Shooting suppressed helps with recoil and muzzle climb making it much safer.

Good job. Replacing the buffer with a heavy duty one and a sturdier spring can sometimes make a difference

Democrats cannot have power in this country. This is insanity

It was suggested by the Attorney General and many prisons are already doing this, releasing petty nonviolent people...pot smoker here, white collar guy there.

We already imprison WAY too many people in America, so really...?

It is for funding to test, help with the staff who are constantly dealing with inmates in close quarters, and to lessen the population, especially by releasing low risk and susceptible people. Old people, pregnant, sick, oh me, oh my.

Congress must do all we can to assist state and local governments as they combat this disease. That includes allocating funds to provide testing and treatment for COVID-19 in correctional facilities. On top of that, those who are highly susceptible to COVID-19 like pregnant women, people over age 55, or those with serious chronic medical condition who pose a low risk to the public should be immediately released to home confinement. This is a matter of public health. I encourage my colleagues to join me in supporting this emergency response, which will save lives.

I believe Obama started this practice.

Eh, it relates to non violent offenses. Our jurisdiction has been alleviating the jail population by granting relief to those non violent cases. That’s not unusual.

Am I just mistaken or did NY and Mass. both release convicted child rapists after it started to spread to the prison population?
