Worst VN ever was hank and kinston calling for Pruitt to be fired every day for 2 months and wishing we would’ve hired leach (lol!)
Never called for him to be fired, although I have thoroughly eaten crow (and will gladly continue to) because I thought he was a dead man walking.

Also I like Pruitt and hate Leach lol

Those folks are getting hurt the most and I hope they start voicing their displeasure to their elected officials. City, State, and Federal politicians need to stop playing their games and start doing the right thing for the people they represent. People are already mad at the lunacy of how this is being handled and if it goes on much longer people will stop with simple protests. I am very worried that their will be groups that will resort to armed revolt if governments persist with these unconstitutional lockdown orders.
I am afraid of that too, but the sane citizens of California should riot soon if those idiots in charge of them don't stop with the insanity.

My greatest fear is that those kind of idiots really gain control of the federal government..you can kiss the USA goodbye if they do.

i like Leach. i like leach a lot....from 350 miles away. :)

and i'm alwasy in for the press conferences....

Look up my posts from before the lockdown...I said we should do that then and got blasted on all sides
I truly believe that when this began, we didn't know what we were dealing with. Maybe I'm wrong, but I do believe that Fauci, Birx and others had our best interests in mind. This thing was very contagious and thanks to China and The Who, we didn't have all of the info so they, the president, and the task force, led us in the best course of action that they believed would help. But now, with all of the data that has come out, it is clear that this thing isn't anywhere near the big deal that people thought it was. You can't even trust the death count because there is so much lying going on about it. So, that being the case, the only explanation for why we aren't open, is there is a power play happening. it's politics. Trump wants us open, but some states are refusing to comply. Why? The states that are complying and opening up, their numbers are still going down dramatically. There is literally no reason not to open up. This thing has become a weapon, and its very sad to see how far people are willing to go to try and take down the President.

Ive said it before, but I’m not sure what the point of the lockdowns are at this point. The original intent was to “flatten the curve” in order to avoid overwhelming our hospitals. The vast majority of the United States is nowhere near hospital capacity, and hospitals/Drs. offices now have necessary procedures, testing capacity, and resources (wings/floors/staff) to handle at least some influx of patients.

We can’t simply shutdown until a hypothetical vaccine is available in a couple years. We aren’t completely shutting down everything for a month to completely eradicate the disease.

What’s the point of continuing shutdowns for the vast majority of America? We aren’t stopping the spread, only delaying it. We’re damaging the economy, citizens and mental health as a result and I don’t see the positive effects of doing so.

I think there will be a massive conservative takeover in the federal government in November and I think that this "pandemic" is actually helping that more than hurting it. Most people saw the economy and the pace at which it was growing before this happened. They see Trump trying to get things open again. They also see the corruption of the previous administration and the left in general as more and more comes out concerning the General Michael Flynn case and the whole deal with the Russian collusion hoax and all the other attempts to take Trump down.

I hope you are right, but I have lost a lot of faith in people throughout this mess.

Common sense is an almost dead thing...especially in certain generations.

Repub's just picked up a house seat in California they haven't had in 22 years. I think you're right.

We had to do something drastic at the beginning to prepare and mitigate...I have always agreed with that, but I have never agreed that going beyond a month or two was acceptable...I said from the beginning that shutting down for longer than that was insane.

Remember when it was "14 Days to Flatten the Curve?"

Now it's "Oh wait a minute, this is an awesome crisis to exploit for political purposes and personal gain, so please stay locked down until we tell you it's safe to go outside, which may be next month, 2022, or never, depending on the latest article we dictate our MSM allies publish"

The economy is crashing and the President has never cracked 50% approval ratings. He may end up winning but there's not going to be a "massive conservative takeover" in a country this polarized with numbers like that.

I don't put much stock into approval ratings. I think he also gets a pass on the economy because of COVID-19. IMO the Dems' constant attacks on Trump have actually only strengthened and solidified his base. People will get out and vote for him to spite the Dems once again.

I said it would happen from the first. It is now a full on power grab.

I never did, and still don't like Trump, but I absolutely hate the loons.

Trump got roughly 8% of the African American vote in 2016. Recent polls have showed his approval rating among African Americans to be closer to 20% recently. If he can get anywhere close to that 20% to vote for him in November, it will be a slaughter. This also doesn't include the other minority groups that have been able to prosper under this current administration.

The economy is sucking right now but people are aware of how it was rocking and rolling only a couple of months ago. Aggregate that with Biden's sexual assault cloud and now his inability to remember where he is or what he said or did and I think Trump runs away with it and brings a bunch of house seats back to the conservatives and maybe even expands the majority in the Senate.

I don't know about massive but they will gain seats. The Dems know they're in trouble. It's why they're trying to push another stimulus package through so they can say "See we're trying to help by giving you money. The Republicans didn't give you this much the first time! We care more!"

I see that for exactly what it is..trying to buy votes now.
