I grew up in the area but haven't been there in years. Just wanted to use the term crunk in a post about memphis.
Lived there from ‘96 to ‘04 and had friends that were carjacked or shot (10 am at a Kroger). Decided I didn’t want to raise a family there and got out. It’s always been corrupt politically to a point where citizens are not safe.

Growing up in East TN made me realize how oblivious I was to a different world. Great experience and I’m thankful for it because it does provide perspective to appreciate what we have when it’s good.

I grew up there. Had a group of dudes pull a gun on me and a friend in high school while in a taco bell parking lot for no other reason that we were there. And that was 30 years ago.

Exactly, it’s been this way for a long time but now with social media and constant news, the city is being exposed for what it really is.

I started in Memphis and have ended up in East TN. It is a undeniable upgrade.

Chattanooga used to be really bad as well. Had several friends get robbed while in line for the drive thru at the McDonald's Erlanger. Dudes walked down the line robbing everybody.

Meanest city in the union, imo; and, I mean no offense to my Memphis brothers and sisters...none at all. I love Memphis, have had some of the greatest times there, but...damn. Truly sad. Stay safe boys and girls.

It does, actually.

Side note: do you have to stick your own hand in the horses butt or do you have a machine for that
Ever heard of a proctologist? There is a reason the human doctor does a rectal exam. They are feeling certain things like the prostate to see if it’s enlarged. In the horse, I do rectal exams for multiple reasons… One of them is when breeding mares to check ovaries for follicles and see if they are ready to breed. The other most common thing we do them is in horses with colic to palpate their abdomen and specifically their G.I. tract to see if something is impacted, twisted, etc. So, yes, I do them with my hand and arm, but with a sleeve that goes all the way to my shoulder.
