SO saying they played their hearts translates to me saying that they didn't belong on the field? Putting words in my mouth aren't you. I was complimenting their efforts, not if they belonged on the same field.

No not just you I'm reading these they fought their hearts out post. Almost reads like a sympathy post. Our guys have played hard all year except for the Arky game. Just what they do and how the program has been molded.

I understand what your saying and don't disagree but I was commenting on this game. Today's game. They have played their hearts out all year. I was commenting on their efforts today. I believe they can play with anyone without exception.

How'd we lose this one? Team made plays. The WRs made miraculous catches. Ridley had a PI ball as we call them. The CB can't get his head around fast enough on a pass like that. I'm not even mad we just lost. Our guys made plays their guys made plays. The senior beat a freshman late in the game to beat us.

they really didnt make "their plays" though. You gotta stop making excuses every single week. It is what it is and it hurts. For example the Defense had a chance to make a stop with the game on the line against OU,UF and Bama. They couldnt do it. Its who they are.

Really like the play Martin made on the 2 pt. attempt. There were a number of coverage sacks or no gains tonight. The secondary has really come along. We still got some football to play. We won't win out without focus and effort. I think we are capable. I hope the coaches and team are up to it.

Great D + Meh O + Dud kicker = Close loss to a quality opponent on the road. If Meh O was just good, it's a win. If the Dud kicker was good, it's a win. But they weren't, so it's another loss.

Well if that's truly you I'm sure you have more experience playing than I. If that's the case why don't you give me a real reason as to why I'm wrong instead of resorting to name calling? I've given you a reason why I think he's bad for the program. You tell me the logic for Dobbs sitting back there in the pocket in the last drive. Why shouldn't have he sprinted him out with the run pass option. But feel free to continue with the name calling if you think that's appropriate.

We have gone toe to toe with some of the best teams in the nation with a bunch of sophomores and a few juniors with some freshman thrown in. If anything you should be saying these coaches have these pups playing way over their heads and are competing every week.

The coaches have put players in position to win and the players will have to make the plays to close it out. This will come with experience. You've got a bunch of 18 and 19 year olds facing 22 and 23 year olds who were higher rated than we were two years before.

We just fought a team tooth and nail to the end who has had the number one recruiting class 5 years in a row. It sucks to loose but on paper we should have been blown out.

There's no comparison to the teams under Butch and under Dooley. There is no quit in a Butch Jones team they fight tooth and nail every play. They might not be there yet but if you can't see the improvements you need to pick a new sport to watch.

Best post I've read all night Jason. You summed up my feelings exactly. The Florida game hurt do much more because it made me question the coach's abilities and it looked like we weren't progressing as a team. Tonight, the team looked prepared, and more importantly looked like they believed they were going to win. I feel VERY good about the direction that w are heading.

You've said in several posts we are short on players and several coaches. We might be short on experience but the coaches have brought in some great players.

I'm just tired of players and coaches who are giving it their all bashed over and over.

If the team was quitting like they did with Dooley I'd be behind you 100% but there is no quit in this team. All this bunch needs is more experience and I think we will have something.

People are so quick to blame a coach or blame the players. Football is a game of momentum and breaks. Most of the time the best team wins but sometimes the underdog can sneak up on someone.
this team is staying in games on pure determination and will.

With all the injuries and key players this team has lost this game could have easily been a blow out. It wasn't because this team came to play and had a will to win. Just didn't happen in the end.
