You dont fire him yet, but after 10 years or so, you make the move.
i sure hope he wouldn’t lose to Vandy, I don’t expect him to,
But why would you wait 10 years when the writing is on the wall.
Wait until the recruits realize what you knew, recruiting decline and we go 6-6?

It’s a lot easier to hire a top tier guy to a loaded team than a dumpster fire.
We’ve proven that with three consecutive hires that nobody at a top tier school was ever considering

Our DL didn't come to play. It's that simple. Their OL did come to play and our DL didn't. We won a total of about 5 1:1 matchups on passing plays the entire game on the DL. I counted 2 total pressures, but I may have missed a couple. It wasn't scheme. Our guys weren't winning one on one matchups.
We rushed 4 mostly all night.
When we weren’t winning one on one matchups we needed to make adjustments to our scheme.
They didn’t. Their scheme was working fine

2 reasons.

1) With revenue sharing, I think coaching changes will be less frequent, schools will be less willing to pay massive buyouts.
2) If you move on from a guy too quick, youll get blackballed and youll never get the guy. You have to make it seem like youll give whoever plenty of time wether the writing is on the wall or not.

They didn't out scheme us. Bobo didn't invent a new way to stimey our DL. Our DL just didn't come to play. Anyone's scheme will work fine when your OL win 95%+ of their 1:1 matchups and you don't have to keep extra personnel back to protect.

Well as per last year, the year before and tonight they stymied our offense and had their way with our Defense!
Explain it however you want to buddy, but the results are the same

Probably Squirrels best game as an all around receiver but this ain’t gonna beat someone on the road:

WR room once again let us down. Donte Thornton where ya at bro?
Coming into the season people talked about our WR room as being the strength of our offense. It is actually our weakness.

Going through the site after a loss nowadays is interesting. You think people would be a little more patient since we’re actually playing important games now instead of being horrendous like the 13 seasons before 2021
I don’t give a rats a$$ what happened 200 years before 2021.
It’s NIL and transfer portal days

Yep. I feel like it’s easy to fall into the trap of “oh, the problems on offense are really just personnel related. No Jalin Hyatt, no Hendon Hooker, no Darnell Wright.” We still have talent on offense. Development is an issue in the OL. We aren’t putting Nico and the receivers in positions to succeed often times. Play calling is an issue.

Heupel hates going outside his circle on offensive coaching which is understandable. To get over the painful 10-2 ceiling, though, he’s going to have to bite the bullet, fire his buddy Ellarbee, demote Halzle, and go get top notch replacements.
Completely agree. Nico played great! IMO
Banks had a bad game, it happens, and anyone calling for his job after what he has done this season is crazy.

Hazle, on the other hand, can git and take Elarbee with him.
Agreed. Nico played great and looked like the best player in his class but coaching absolutely didn’t help him out

What Heupel has done here in the last 4 seasons given what he inherited is nothing short of a miracle. Some of y'all need to touch grass.

Heupel is a victim of his own success.
Some people are just miserable man. This loss sucks but doesn’t suck anywhere near as bad as before Heupel got here. I’m confident Heupel will keep making improvements to the team. I’d like to think he will make changes to his staff when he thinks he’s plateaued with certain assistants. Hopefully that’s after this season is over and not too much longer.

Did UGA make a huge mistake when they fired MR?
No
Why did they fire him? Because good wasn’t good enough.
Did we make a mistake when we fired Fulmer..... Good want good enough.......... Then we churned in doodoo for the better part of two decades.

Point of the matter is you better not fire really good until you know you have great on the hook. Even then there's a 50/50 chance it works..... Maybe even less in NIL era.

I think the o line in pass pro and wr room are equally disappointing. Not cutting it. Pair that with a young inexperienced QB.......

Heupel was a a good coach but he’s still learning imo. We actually had the better team tonight…
Not sure about that, their o line was better, their linebackers were better. Wash pretty much everywhere else except running back, our interior D line was deeper, but they prevented us from using that as an advantage.

We got outcoached and executed tonight.

I'm convinced we have the worst fanabse in sports.

The Donte drop was horrific. Might be a completely different game if he catches that.
Sucks cause Donte has arguably been the best receiver this year at least for big plays. But more than the receiver drops. I think the defense not adjusting cost is more. They couldn’t get off the field. I think we had what 3 maybe 4 possessions in the second half. That’s pretty wild for us.

My honest grades
QB - A-
OLine - B+
WR - C
RB - A-
DLine - C-+
LB - B-
DBs - B
Special Teams - B-
Feel like the o line needs to be graded separately for run game vs pass pro.

One if definitely better than the other.... And is there a future that exists that when the QB scrambles the won't be an automatic holding call?

Anyway.. It's hard to argue they do a good job in pass pro. Penalties, sacks... Etc really knock the grade down there. Run game otoh is pretty good, plus the way they scheme it with tight ends etc.. Can't argue with the results the run game produces.

Or fans are no different than any other. Expectations are different now and after a game like that, over reactions rule the day.

We're so much better off today than we were 5 years ago, and the 15 before that. We lost a game tonight that had real sec and national title implications... We're now at that point where we have wanted to be for 15 years. Getting over that hump is the next step and you keep getting yourself to that point with the understanding that's the hardest step.

This loss sucks and it's still plenty fresh enough to be pissed off about it....I know I am.

But big picture... We're good. Beating Bama and Florida with any kind of regulatory is awesome. Going in with 9 wins being the floor... Recruiting is doing very well... All the things that are and have been good about athletics in general are still there and showing no signs of letting up any time soon.

So tonight sucks.

It is not a referendum on the state of the program or anything though...
