I'll ask again, anyone going to a bar for the game in the North Atlanta area?

Bassmaster_Tide uninvited me to his house.

That was actually more of a shot at Helton who i think won’t even be here next year so then it won’t matter.

The seahawks OL has been god awful the last 2 years but their offense has been ok. Texans OL is horrible they are doing fine this year. Philadelphia’s OL has been bad this year yet their offense is fine. Same thing with Green Bay and Atlanta

Move on to college

Texas AM offensive line is awful. Yet they are 4th in total offense in the SEC. Oklahoma state offensive line is horrible they are 3rd in the big 12 in total offense. Utah’s OL is bad yet they are having a good year.

Yes our OL is bad but they are not the worst in football. But hey keep making excuses for our OC when he’s getting paid like one of the top of best in the country.

LOL.

I actually have full confidence in keeping Kentucky O in check. I am extremely worried we won’t generate any points.
Yeah, that’s my concern. We can’t run the football. At all. And Ky’s pass defense is pretty good. They held Lock in check and he is better than JG. I’m not sure how the offense is going to score many points unless Helton schemes up a great game.

I bet we see the return of the onside kick. Hopefully we recover it this time

My biggest fear is out offense can't generate much and our Defense has to play way too many snaps and gets tired. KY pounds it at us all day and eventually wears the D down and they start getting 7,8,12 yards every time they hand it off. Could be for a long day.

Lost a game we should not have in South Carolina. Today we should be becoming bowl eligible.

That will have to wait for next week. Vols get it done today. Kentucky is a fraud.

Hank, you think there is a real shot Helton isn't here next year? I'm not the biggest fan of the guy, but man another OC would be horrible for our offense. That would be our 5th OC since 2014, and JGs 4th in 4 years. Yikes

On paper, yes.

It's a bit of a broken record, but I think this game hinges on the 1 St qtr.

I think if you see us play like we did against USCe, without the penalities on offense, we can possess the ball and or some pressure on their offense to do more than give it to Snell.

Just can't get in a hole early. Need some good things to happen early.

I do not think Helton will be here next year. I think he will take another job else where

Yeah, I said something very similar to my brother-in-law a little while ago. Worried this might be one of those games where we look at the score and the difference in points doesn’t really tell what happened… Meaning that they gash us running the ball all day long, and we know that there’s nothing we can do to stop it. We somehow kind of hang around, but deep down know that we never really Had a chance because we couldn’t stop the run. I am definitely interested to see what happens. I know Pruitt will have a scheme in place that theoretically should stop the run, but the bigger question is can our players execute it. Going to try my best to enjoy the game, as we are only guaranteed three more this year.

Same.

I've not seen enough from this offense that tells me we can move the ball against anyone. If KY is smart they'll crowd the line of scrimmage take away the run, passes to the flats, and screens. That's 98% of our offense. I've not seen an answer to that kind of defense against us. I think JG has improved light years from last year but I haven't seen much improvement through this season. I don't think he has the mental side down yet so defenses can take risk without fearing JG will recognize where to go with the ball. Hope I'm wrong. I've mentioned how impressed I was with KY and each and every week I hear that it's all smoke and mirrors yet KY continues to be the more physical team in most cases. This KY team is better than our Tennessee team this time around. This is one of KY's best chances in decades and likely anytime in the near future to get one in Neyland. They are very senior laden and lose a bunch after this year. I also question how much our guys are into it. Last week was very meh and makes me wonder if many have checked out. They seem beat down mentally. Hopefully I'm dead wrong because I've thrown up twice while typing this.

Love a good well thought out response

If you are insinuating that any of those OLs you brought up are worse than the most undersized, inexperienced OL in D1 football then I don't know what sort of conversation we could even have. And I am not arguing that Helton has been without fault, but completely disagree wtih your assertion about the OLs.

Staff's job to make sure this doesn't happen. Pull anyone who plays less than enthusiastically.
