If they do, it just proves that TN leadership doesnt care about winning and none of us should put our hard earned dollar toward the program.

This after 2 east titles...they shoot for SEC titles and Natty’s. We shoot for loading our coffers as the highest margin school, life champions.

They will probably hire Frost and he will go on an Urban type run.

UCLA and Ole Miss losses were bad, I'll give you that. That Ole Miss team wasn't bad though. They finished in the top 25 and won the Cotton Bowl. He whipped Richt and Spurrier and lost to a really good Virginia Tech team. That Tennessee team was not that talented, but they did have a few good pieces. Did an exceptional job turning Crompton around, and we ran the ball well with an offensive line with the Sullins twins starting. He also had a top 5 recruiting class coming in that year. I might add that he was a blocked kick away from beating Alabama as well.

Just one man's opinions:

Gruden is Volnation's white whale.

Kiffin burned his bridges and will never walk the checkerboards no matter how much he lobbies for the job, rehabs his image, or grows up. He out kicked his coverage both with Layla and the UT head job.

Fuente has it good at VT and will not leave. Frost will not be able to resist the siren song of bringing Huskers back to their glory days. Brohm, Fleck, Campbell--not enough splash.

UT admin is finally going to get a football coaching hire right, including the resources for top line assistance coaches. It will be someone with proven P5 track record but totally out of left field. Think Bielema to Arkansas... but more successful at his new home.

Butch goes down with the ship and is fired only when new coach is in the barn.

Just one man's opinions.

A lot of Oklahoma and Florida players should be gone then. It is stupid what Herb said and I do think he may should have been on the bench the rest of the game but they are just piling on Butch now. May think he is helping Tennessee fans to get rid of him. He knows all but one percent want Butch gone.

I don't want him anywhere near here, but that was a good coaching job that year

We should not be...it should already be done.

They see us going after someone and are taking action to get who they want. Until our AD, boosters, and Admin align behind winning, we will be 3rd fiddle in the East.

I will never pull for them to lose but if I KNEW, which is impossible that what you posted would happen, then I would want them to lose. I am just concerned if we lose, he still doesn't get fired tonight. I know he is gone but I am sick of him.

Jim Harbaugh is the most overrated coach in college football. Do you know how many championship he has won? ZERO!! The Pioneer league doesn't count. Zero championships!

We don't care about wins; we want championships. And he has NONE. The name is recognized because of the hyperbole surrounding him. And the hyperbole is because of his off-the-field antics.

If we had a coach who was beaten by 30 points we'd be screaming for him to be fired. And we have proof of it. If we had a coach making national headlines because he can't remember big-time recruits' names we'd be mocking him. We mock our coach for less. If we had a coach caught playing with boogers on the sidelines...I don't even want to think what would happen in light of how we treat our coaches.

Would he be better than Butch? Probably. But we want championships, not just improvement.

Yea it was a really weird team. He had some great players some places and some really bad ones else where. Man I miss Eric berry 😭😭😭

On spot here IMO. Frost would be next. Asked my other guy who said he had not heard Strong but knew they were really high on him. I think they feel they will get one of the top two. But, like you said, it can be close but until it is done, nothing is guaranteed.

Firing Mac seems insane to me. Do they really think they can do it with cause? They would have a really weak case. Seems like he could take legal action and get his full buyout.

Would also set a really bad precedent. Does the next guy want to worry about getting axed after winning the East two years in a row and the AD doing its best to screw him out of his buyout in the process?

This is what I'm afraid of, him leaving us at the alter. If it happened before, then I think it may not happen again. I think things are different this time for a few reasons:

Wife in his ear, heavily.
Peyton's involvement.
New administration.
ESPN financial woes.
Less of a rebuild.
