Why isn't it a history book?
Why isn't it a guide book?
Why do you want to limit the power of the bible?
I'm not limiting anything, but trying to downplay the Bible to a history book for learning for non-believers, is something that believers shouldn't even consider a rational thought. Mainly, because of what it truly means to us. Most that learn what in the Bible, who aren't believers, care more about mocking Christians than they do about applying anything in there to their lives. So, if you don't believe the things in the Bible happened the way they did, and there is a spiritual side to it, then it means nothing to the non-believer, other than offering a history guide to the Jews, but even then, do the non-believers accept the parting of the Red Sea??
I got to ask this, sorry, But is it amazing when Jack uses his gun to kill the bad guys? I had to.
I don't think Thomas Jefferson would agree with that.
Have you ever heard of 'The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth?'

I could care less what he wrote about Jesus honestly, unless it's praising him for being his Lord and Savior. Other than that, it's not important to me, and shouldn't be important to other believers, IMO.

A lot of non believers or borderline believers find the bible fascinating.................
I don't care what a non believer uses it as.... a history book, a piece of literature... a book of poetry........ the seed is being planted.
Planting the seed is up to us, the results are a God thing.
