And you know this person went to public school how? But lets saddle her with your "ideology" for convenience.
Did you go to public school? My ideology is “ let’s teach kids facts in school instead of our own ideology “ history is a great place to start . You are correct I made the assumption she went to public school, if she didn’t her parents should pull their funds for the private school she’s being taught at . Here’s an even better idea .. before you tear down history , use your damn smart phone and google the person first ( before you check your messages on social media ) .
It was in a few states. I believe it was Vermont and Maryland. Maryland is kinda hard to regionally assign but Vermont would qualify as the North
My bad. It was actually Delaware. Can't help but to get those small yank states confused. Point still standsSwing and a miss...
"Slavery was banned outright upon the founding of Vermont in July 1777, and by a further provision in its Constitution, existing male slaves become free at the age of 21 and females at the age of 18. "

You really can't boil the entirety of the Civil War in the South down to slavery. You also can't argue that it wasn't a massive factor. But the overwhelming majority of the boys who did the fighting and dying didn't own slaves. Slavery alone isn't enough to make someone march to their almost certain death at Gettysburg or Shiloh. Some of my ancestors were slavers some weren't, in the end it didn't matter they all got butchered the same. I think they deserve to be remembered so I will continue to do so.
Some of the people involved. You know I imagine most of those that wrote those documents and initiated the conflict never fired a rifle in anger or saw a friend blown apart by artillery. It's like almost any other 18 to 19th century conflict. The motivations of the combatants and those who manipulate them are often very differentYes you can. The people involved literally stated that the only cause for the war was slavery.
So were the Confederate traitors lying about their own reasons?
It is history. No way to argue against what is a historical fact.
It's why I engaged with Carlos. I find it odd to be replacing slave owning confederates with slave owning genocidists(is that a word?) From the north.
It spoke of the partisanship we are so deeply in bed with today. Dont use the name of their bad guys, use the name of our bad guys.
