This is so true! Every year now CRB builds a strong squad who is highly ranked. Our fans start to think this might be the year, then after every loss there’s a complete meltdown. FHAR Barnes, our players all suck, etc. It’s become as predictable as death and taxes. I’m surprised the more reasonable posters still get so triggered by the drive by complainers following every loss.

And when we make the tournament run UConn does then it will all go away…but when we continually do this over and over each and every year with the same result then it is harder and harder to deal with and take…again MsSt is not a great team nor did they play a great game like Nebraska did last night vs Purdue…Tennessee came out flat, basically didn’t play for a half…tried to win a game in one half and came up short…we lost because of ourselves, not because of the other team or refs…it’s repeat after repeat with Barnes…he is a good coach, i guess he will soon be a hall of fame coach…but there is room for improvement that many can see and the more years that go by it seems that improvement is not coming and we are what we are…just a solid, good basketball team…I want to be better than that…I expect to be and Barnes is paid a top salary to be

I would like more too. And I get it. But one bad hire and Tennessee may not ever recover. I.e. Look at the football team. I think we should keep Barnes and I dread the day he retires.

Well that’s on you…if you think MSST is a bonafide Sweet 16 team and we won’t face similar or better team to get there then I am not sure what to say.

They literally handed 10 points to us within 10 feet of basket in 2nd half
Smith is good but why not double down on him and dig the ball out --he was not going to give it up

I’m saying Pearl had our basketball program at the same level possibly better. Green had it close, and Devoe and Mears have as well. We have been and can and should be solid in basketball. Barnes either takes us to the next level or he is just one of those guys. Vitello has already taken us to levels never thought possible and I friggen love that. I’m so excited for next month and season to start.

If Pearl had it as great as it is now, especially at its foundation, it wouldn't have toppled over so quick and easily after he selfishly put it in jeopardy.

Hated the Jerry Green years? That has already been discussed. But sure it’s better than Wade, ONeil, and Buzz. Of course what wouldn’t be.

I'm a fan of disciplined basketball with good defense, so no, I wasn't a fan of the Jerry Green era. IMO, he underperformed with the loaded roster left to him by O'Neill.

Yeah today was more about UGA being scorching hot that us playing BAD on defense, imo. We still didn’t play our best on that end, but they couldn’t miss. Just gotta tip the cap sometimes.

Agree man. Add to that a pg that can create with multiple capable 3 pt shooters, which has also been whined/begged for years.
