Rick Neuheisel broke down last minute

This is spot on! O Brien screwed the pooch trying to run with us. He should have tried slowing things down, especially late in the game and waste clock. Our offense could do whatever and whenever we wanted!

The Bammers haven't been happy with him much this season and I cant say I blame them.

Alabama coaching staff, Bill O'Brien questioned after loss at Tennessee

Alabama fans upset over Bill O'Brien's play calling early against Vanderbilt

I seriously hope they keep him for 10 years though lol

Saban's primary in-game mistake was not running the ball once or twice on the last drive to force UT to use their timeouts. Otherwise, they just got flat beat - he had no answers for our offense all day, and required two gift TD's, one on the fumble and other on the offensive PI non-call, to even make this a close finish.

Sabans biggest mistake this season has been putting Bill O Brien in charge of his offense.

The guy is a moron and one of Sabans reclamation projects has finally bitten him. They could easily have 3 losses on their schedule already.
Bill O'Brien doesn't coach, or play, defense. They put up 49 freaking points. Golding is the one that's gonna be shown the door.

Said Saban made a mistake not running at least once to run the clock down or force Tennessee to use a TO (I agreed). If Tennessee had one less TO, the drive doesnt happen.

Then he explains the pass patterns each WR runs. On the first play, 3WRs on one side of the field, Bama covers the "Go" route and the short guy but allows the middle guy, who Tennessee wanted to get the ball to anyway, to get open. Keyton catches the ball for about 17 yd gain. Then, and you'll love this, Tennessee lines up the exact same way on the other side of the field and runs the exact same play. Alabama changed their defense to one that should have worked but their CB, Kool Aid, lost the WR and McCoy enough to allow McCoy to get open for the big catch......

We made a mistake fumbling the ball in their red zone. Is what it is. We won and we were the better team.

One less timeout changes nothing really other than us running up and spiking it with 1 second left instead of a timeout with 2
I may be mistaking, but with the ball set and a spike that has to take a minimum of 2-3 seconds off the clock automatically. Or so I’ve heard by referee reviews that that has to be the minimum.

I think you're thinking of a 10 second runoff for penalties

The biggest mistake by the Crimson Tide is a tie between the 17 penalties, and the Crimson Tide repeatedly failing to defend since the Crimson Tide gave up 52 points.

Bama is STILL the most penalized team in the SEC. So much for the legendary Saban discipline. Maybe he should consult Derek Dooley about Rommel's discipline.

Completely outcoached. Bama should make a change mid season if they want to stay relevant. Most undisciplined and poorly developed Bama team I’ve seen in a couple of decades.
I think one greatly underestimated detail is that Saban finally had to go up against a team with a coach with no affiliation with Saban’s coaching tree

Can't atop laughing. You've brightened my day thinking they would be crazy enough to do that. Have been on the Alabama message boards, they never criticize Saban other than wondering why he isn't firing his DC.

I think there is a possibility Saban retires after 3-4 more years. His biggest problem is that the under-the-table cash that Bama spreads around so efficiently (Albert Means) is now being eliminated by the NIL which is more lucrative and the state of Alabama is too dirt poor to compete with Texas schools, Oklahoma and LSU.

Damn, I thought it was going to be a video of ol Rick breaking down crying watching the last minute of the game. But watching Saban break down during that punt will do…

I read this thread title completely. I thought you were saying Rick Neuheisel was crying.
You and me both.

Every time I catch this thread title while looking through the main board, I think, "oh, Neuheisel had a nervous breakdown in the last minute of their broadcast". Every time. Even knowing it's there, I still see that instead of what was intended.

In a world made up of nothing but words (like a message board), words matter a lot. Maybe "Neuheisel dissects last minute of Bama-Vols game" woulda been a bit clearer.

Go Vols!
