The way we're cursed with injuries I wouldn't be at all surprised if North was the next one to get hurt smh..

It's football not table tennis. Every team has injuries not just UT. It's not like we have lost a bunch of players for the season and nothing has even been confirmed on our 2nd or 3rd team juco db yet.

difference is those teams have way more depth than we do so it doesnt hurt as bad. and we have been saying for five years we are rebuilding

Agree but don't understand this doom mentality. When you made up the screen name RiseToTheTop surely you realized CBJ would have to rebuild the program from the depths of two straight bad hires.

Enjoy the ride

It just might be a little bumpy to start off with

So yes, this sucks and we are weak at DB, but the real question is the D line/LBs. Can they put pressure on the QB? If not, a team full of All-American DBs will eventually get torched. But if we start putting real pressure on opposing QBs we can hide a lot of weakness in the secondary. Along those same lines is can we stop the run? If so, then being able to predict passing plays due to 3rd and long will also help a weakened DB group. I think McCullers opens up rushing lanes for the LB to get to the QB this year (I hope). If people are already getting disappointed at this season due to injuries in August, I would suggest your expectations were a little too high to begin with. As high as everyone is on Jones right now, those of us who have watched this site and this fan base for a while know that if we get beat by the teams we probably should get beat by early this season, the headhunters will be out and people will be calling for a "big name hire".

what does our corner situation have to do with a username? everything i said was true. has nothing to do with a doom mentality. we are thin at corner, have been for half decade. thats all i said

By the way, my prediction/expectation for this year. We win an upset(either UGA/SC) and nearly beat 1or2 (Fla,Ore,Ala), the we give away one we shouldn't (Mizz,Aub,Vandy)
Win a bowl game that we are favored to win.

Per usual, Volnation freaks out. He was a 3rd string corner the last few practice. I don't think the sky is falling due to losing a 3rd stringer. Will it hurt depth? Absolutely. Just remember he was getting beat out by 2 true freshmen and a walk on.

why are you trying to argue bc i said we have had no depth at corner for 5 years? i dont understand that. it is what it is.

Not trying to argue.....lets just keep our chin's up. The injuries shouldn't be a surprise. This (not you) reminds me of everytime something went wrong during the Dooley era.

Obviously injuries happen all the time.. but I wonder if some people will say the injuries are due to the fast pace high intensity practices.
