Robert Marve

I think he goes to Purdue, less pressure. I don't want him, Ill wait for Heaps or Scroggins, however; if we get him, i will still be happy just a little weary about the other qb prospects still wanting to come. Kiffin knows what he is doing.

You can wish in one hand...and you can ____in the other. See which which one fills up faster.

I am sure it has been asked many times but do you guys think if one of these QBs come it will cause problems with getting a top 2009 recruit? :shades:

if you mean 2010, yes it will make a difference. Kids won't come 2000 miles, IMO, when they know a redshirt Junior is going to be on campus with a year under their belt. I think it would hurt with those kdis far away who are also getting pressure to stay closer to home.

Why would they come?? really would not make sense to get that far from family to sit...jmo

They will come

joe shad just called him a purdue lock on espn...so expect to see him commit to us within the next couple of days.

I don't understand why so many people in the poll above (linked to Marve's decision) pick a Freshman as the QB they'd take if UT could have only one.

If only one, we could use help from someone sooner rather than later--and that's Marve or Newton. We'll need help later as well, but that will be easier to find, imo. Finding someone who can contribute in 2010 is more difficult.

Whoever plays in 2012 and 2013 will be surrounded by experienced talent. That's not the case in 2010 and 2011. If some top QB prospect doesn't want that... oh well, fooled me.

O me either! :dance2:. It would mean we feel really good about Scroggins or Heaps. I have always said we shouldnt take him.

I was thinking Cam Newton, but it could be either of those.

However, I think Marve would feel comfortable in beating either one of them out for the 2010 start, jmo. He could be worried about beating them out in 2011, though.

Since he can't talk to our coaches, I doubt him going to Purdue would mean anything regarding our coaching staff's thoughts on where they stand with Heaps/Scroggins.

With that said, I would put money on him being a Vol.

I agree with both of your points. :salute:

Yeh. I started to put 'coaching staff's thoughts/signals' earlier instead of Marve's signals, but recalled they haven't spoken.

How much do prospects talk to one another?

FLVol53 thanks. :p He said Marve is still a vol. He has been very reliable, so this is far from over yet..

FLVol53 and justingroves have said he is a Vol.

Brent said he thinks/expects (can't remember his wording) for him to be a Vol.

When those 3 are all in agreement, I just can't see all of them being wrong.
