I think it could be that they don't have to give a release to him at all, so if they do give it to him, they're allowed to put their own stipends on it. Most of the time, schools won't let you transfer to an opponent they play sometime in the next 4 years.
Yea laying out of class is a Class A felony.
And he had a vandalism charge a few years ago...
We've all made mistakes. I trust that CLK can make the right judgment on this kid's character.

In my book when school is being paid for by the university that is the trade off. You go to class, pass, and we foot the bill. We get football out of you. So if you cant go to class you cant play ball. Yes it is a class A felony when your an athlete at this level.
Miami QB to transfer; Tennessee a possible destination : Football : GoVolsXtra.com
This sounds like a "possible" solution for our qb situation. Some say he's a problem child though. Other articles stated that he was late to a class bc of talking to a professor at the previous class & his tartiness was counted for an absence.
In all reality R. Marve was the 8th ranked pro QB in the 07 class, ranking a 4* with rivals. Don't forget though BJ Coleman was the 10th ranked pro style QB & also a 4*. Marve will have to negotiate some more with Shannon his coach & the Miami AD to get some freedom in choosing a school, & UT is a real possibility. If allowed he will still loose a year per NCAA rules. That still dosen't help our chances for next year, but maybe for the future. BUT with BJ being the crowd fav there could be some competition, but that usually makes them better...usually!
So you would be OK with him coming here doing the same things.
