These people don't get it... They think in a socialist, government run society there will still be choices. They're misinformed... No choice between, Wally world or target. No choice between publix and kroger. You'll get your stuff from a government ran distribution center. This is the America these people are blindly voting for. They don't even know what they're asking for, which is sad.....How many times do people need to read that Obama wants government in control of almost every aspect of our lives?
VOTE BIGGER GOVERNMENT AND MORE DEBT
VOTE OBAMA!
Probably the nail in the coffin unfortunately. We'll all lose as a result.
To Obama's base maybe. The others know what he meant..... We're going to find out in this election if we have more people pulling than pushing anymore. Should he have said it? Of course not. Because it wasn't politically correct to do so. Was there some truth there? Hell yeah there was.He sure has not helped himself, that is for sure.
If he is listening to his advisors he need to fire everyone of them and hire new ones that know how to run a campaign.
If he is not listening to his advisors and being bullheaded , he deserves to lose.
There is a lot that can happen betweeen now and the election. He will have to do extremely well in the debates. He is going to have to quit making dumb mistakes to have any chance.
There could also be that October surprise or some type of major event flip the election such as the financial problems in 2008.
Romney biggest competition in this election is himself.
So far, himself has been making Romney look very bad.
I don't derive my sense that the wealthy need to pay more in taxes based on religion. I come to that conclusion based on an amalgamation of philosophical points of view, including social contract and utilitarian bases.
The social contract is not much of a philosophical viewpoint; this is why Rawls spent so much time redefining "justice" and presenting his "veil of ignorance" view, because the social contract is incoherent (even to contemporary philosophers who very much want to hold on to the social contract).
seriously? A government as solution provider mentality like that of Obama can win and only the R party is to blame? Please. It has taken decades of enablers and generations of burgeoning freeloader classes to make Obama a reality.
If they collect more than they paid in, yes.
In 2000 the majority, including myself, made fun of Al Gore for his proposal to put the ss funds in a "lockbox". It appears now that Al was correct in his assessment of SS.
Don't agree .
It is a bad investment and as pj points out a scam.
You do not think that someone investing in the system for 45 years should receive a little interest on their investment?
The big problem with SS is the morons in Washington won't leave the funds along. They keep raiding the SS fund for other projects.

1) He was not right.
2) It is not that close nationally.
3) Electoral college is all that matters. At this point, it is Obama's to lose.

History is full of politicians saying stupid things yet going on to electoral success.
Also, how is this any worse than Obama's "you didn't build that" comment?
