The only joke here is that no Republican candidate has the stones to actually stand up for himself. What were his actual comments? That 47% of Americans want a free ride? Your grandmother sounds like one who desperately needs it. But does anyone deny that there are millions out there scamming the system? Maybe Romney's percentage is off, but the premise of his statement isn't inaccurate. He needs to grow a pair and defend himself. Fire back at the media. Instead you get this doublespeak.
And bamawriter is right. The other night, while Taliban are blowing up jets and more embassies are being attacked, CNN is running an interview with Obama with such hard hitting questions as "People think you're the epitome of cool. Is that true?" That's ****ing pathetic.
this type of stuff makes you a disingenuous arsehole.
In fairness to me, there are many things that do that. But this is actually not one of them.
Certainly you do not deny that there is a stereotype envisioned by many that the people on food stamps, or milking unemployment, Medicaid, etc., are disproportionately black? And certainly you do not disagree that some of the criticism of Obama, things like calling him the "food stamp president," do in fact evoke and invoke such corollaries?
The sponges were going to vote Obama anyway. Can't see how him basically saying what most of us already know will hurt him any worse..... The media will have a field day with it. I mean afterall this is the same media that was more critical of what Romney had to say about the attacks, than the apologist in office.
