Romney's VP pick

I don't think it matters, but I like it a lot better than Pawlenty, Jindhal or Portman.

Yeah Mitt kind of went out on a limb. Not the safe choice most thought. It probably doesn't matter. The guy at least has a plan.

I hold defense in high priority but I'm still realistic and admit that it is indeed still a government program thus it has a lot of waste. I really think defense needs to be much more streamlined as well.

Ryan is a solid pick. The debate with Biden will be boring, be akin to the valedictorian debating Radio. Or tuning into the New England Patriots vs Mississippi State and expecting it to be close....
Yeah well Obama might dump Joe now.

I usually hate "fixed your post" quotes but I couldn't resist on this one.
You could wade through them all and make cuts everywhere. That's if they were serious about cutting it in the first place. Most of what we get is talk and no action.

Bye bye tax issue. Hello Obamas record

I don't think team Obama is going to let up on Bain or the tax issue. It is working in several of the polls.

Ryan is an excellent pick to fire up the base. The question is how will he sell to the middle. That is where this election will be won or lost.

With the Ryan pick there will now be focus put on the Ryan budget proposal.
Obama will push hard, especially changing Medicare into a voucher program.
I am not sure how that will play out.
We are going to have to have entitlement cuts, will people vote for that big of a change......time will tell.

Campaign will now be about priorities. Increased defense spending, tax cuts for millionaires, and break the social contract with the middle class. Or invest in education and take care of our elders like they deserve.

I'm setting the national popular vote line at Obama minus 11.

I think if the election were held today Obama would win by a descent margin in the electoral college but i don't see no way he wins by 11% in popular vote.

You'd lose your ass with that betting line. Nobody with approval ratings in the low 40s is winning anything by double digits.

This will be close up to the debates.

After the debates, Romney will take the lead and not look back.

This was a great choice.

-11? Let's set up a pay pal transaction and I will put 5k on those odds for Romney

on Facebook people are calling Ryan a "radical." what about Ryan's proposals is "radical?"

Paul Ryan voted Yes for TARP, NDAA, Patriot Act, GM & Chrysler bailouts, No Child Left Behind, etc, etc, etc.

Same kind of candidate will get us the same kind of results we've had for many years.

The reason I set it -11 is that Ryan is not going to result in any bump. The death knell has rung.

He already has a pretty high profile. I would not want to touch the Romney campaign at this point. What does he have to gain?

I were him, I would continue my high profile in the House of Representatives as the face of fiscal responsibility and wait low until 2016 rolls around and make my move then.

:whatever:
