Ron Paul Can't Win

That ad is pretty ****ing intense. I was entertained, but I don't think it really affects my voting preferences/

That ad bugs me. I don't think all out removal of those departments is very practical. For instance, the DoE. Half the budget is NNSA which isn't going to be cut that much. Now every agency has room for cuts, but there's practical cuts and shifting of responsibilities. There's a responsible process there.

Since test scores have remained virtually flat since the inception of the DoE, then one would think that it has done nothing to improve education. Stop wasting money on the bureaucracy and give money as block grants to the states if you must give them money.

For some crazy reason that ad makes me want to go out and buy a Ford truck. lol no clue why, but I swear it does. :)

Ron Paul 2012!!!

NNSA > Department of Energy. National nuclear security agency > nuclear weapons. I would guess even if you got rid of it, you wouldn't save much money. We would still have to manage our nuclear weapons technology and national labs. Which I'm not for just getting rid of. We can certainly trim back.

Ron Paul Tells Newsmax: I Support Israel

In an exclusive Newsmax interview, Congressman and Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul confirmed his support for Israel, but cautioned that while the United States should be a “friend” of the Jewish state, America should not be the “master” of Israel.

Paul also says the United States should not dictate Israel’s borders or try to “buy her allegiance” with massive amounts of foreign aid. He argued that foreign aid has actually hurt – not helped – the Jewish state.

Although Paul’s budget has been lauded by both conservative political commentator Rush Limbaugh and Iowa’s Gov. Terry Branstad who called it “the boldest plan to reduce the debt,” the framework has been dismissed by Gingrich.

The former House speaker labeled the plan “a non-starter.”

“If you come to me and tell me I need to lose 30 pounds and you’re going to amputate my right leg, I think it’s a non-starter, ” Gingrich told the Quad City Times.

The Forgotten Candidate: Ron Paul Gathers Momentum, Has Sights Set on Newt Gingrich

If this campaign ends up coming down to a few Ron Paul vs Newt Gingrinch exchanges in the debates... :dance2:

When did you begin to lean towards Paul? Link?

I've never announced it, but because he's the most Constitutionally consistent of all the candidates, I can't help but lean his direction.

However, like all the candidates, he seems to have a problem with saying one thing one day and then having to "explain" what he meant a few days later.
