I'd definitely vote for him over Romney, but I hope you're not about to try and argue that Ron Paul has any traits or ability to articulate like the average over-produced, highly polished politician.
Not saying that it makes him any better or worse, btw. Just that he's not the best orator out there.
Admittedly, I am politically retarded. Maybe its because politics seem more greasy to me than Sunnyvale Trailer Park. Anyhow, Ron Paul has made sense in every interview/debate ive seen him in. Ive only seen a few though. I need to learn more about his policies i guess. Thanks to you dudes for posting this stuff, i cant stand watching all the garbage on the "news" channels.
Texas Rep. Ron Paul has surged to second place in a new Iowa poll of likely Republican caucus goers, just one percent behind former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, the current front-runner.
Paul has consistently placed in the top tier of Republican presidential candidates in recent Iowa polls. With Iowans heading to vote in only three weeks, Gingrich holds a razor-thin 2221 lead.
The poll, conducted by Public Policy Polling, found weakening support for Gingrich among self-identified tea partiers, and a dramatic rise in Pauls favorability rating.
U.S. Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) was one of only four House Republicans to break rank from the party and request earmarks despite a Republican Conference earmark moratorium. Paul sent 41 earmark requests totaling $157,093,544 for the 2011 Fiscal Year. His largest single request was $19,500,000 for a naval training ship at the Texas Maritime Academy in Galveston, followed by a $18,126,000 to provide maintenance on the Matagorda Ship Channel.
Of the five U.S. House members who brought home more total earmarked money than Paul, three were defeated in the November elections Democratic U.S. Reps. Chet Edwards, Solomon Ortiz and Ciro Rodriguez
