Ron Paul Can't Win

I would like to reiterate the reason this thread was started, Ron Paul Can't Win.

That is all. Carry on.

Looks like exit polls are showing him #2 in NH after finishing 3rd in Iowa. He probably won't win, but now it seems to me that the "can't" win stuff is misinformed.

Im asking myself why it is Ron Paul is doing so much better this time around vs. last time he ran for POTUS?

I think that we need Dr Paul's ideas to be more widespread in Washington and I think he would help the country a lot as president. That being said. I really don't think he can win. Why? He has a lot of supporters who really like him. Everyone else does not. I don't think he is second on anyone's list. He is either someone's favorite candidate, or they hate him. There is very little in between. I think the 20% or so is about the max support he can get in the current climate. Until more people figure out that the status quo is slow suicide, then he doesn't have a chance. As long as he is the lone voice, he can't win. If enough people ever figure out that the typical GOP candidate is basically as bad as a democrat, then he can win. Once enough people figure it out, then there will be 2 or 3 candidates like him polling well. Then he has a chance. Sad, but true, IMHO.

The bottom line on Dr. Paul is the message is getting out there, and it is making people think again about what the role of government should be in our lives. As well as how our government thinks it can just push other nations around and do as they dam^ well please with regards to our bill of rights. If those nations that we try to control don't like it, we will just invade them, this has to stop! We are going broke and cannot afford this neocon bs any longer. Obama has only continued this policy. People say they don't like Dr. Paul's foreign policy, if they knew what our government has truly been engaged in since 1953 they would be outraged. Its time to bring our troops home and worry about Americas security for a change.

Finishing 2nd in NH is very good for RP, we will see what happens in SC.
The revolution continues.

Rand, is that you?

Is the Paul campaign not continuing to SC?

If that's all you got, so be it.

Lighten up. Im just picking at you.

Be happy. Your guy just probably locked up a speaking slot at the convention and buried Huntsman with a decisive 2nd place finish.

It's definitely the perfect time for him to run. I just wonder where his ceiling is given his foreign policy stance.

I do not see him doing well in SC, if he can pull a tight 3rd i think its a major win for him.
I honestly think with Paul its just getting the message out there to set the foundation for Rand to run in 2016 or 2020.

I know he won't get the nomination, the Romney machine is nearly unstoppable, especially with Goldman Sachs money in his pocket, and they seem to be hedging their bets by supporting both Romney as well as Obama.

Awareness is key and he is having an effect.

I'm a Paul fan, loved that speech and can't understand why, after listening to that, he's not the front runner.

Can a non Paul supporter take some time to watch that and point out what you disagree with and why?

Just trying to understand the animosity that so many have of him when what I hear is a message on liberty and freedom.

Honestly, most people just use what the media tells them. They say, "Romney is the frontrunner" and they go with that because to do otherwise requires thinking.
Most people do not like politics, and they don't spend as much time on it as we do.

They fear monger about foreign policy, and people fall for it. It really is that simple.
Honestly, a Romney vs Obama race is a double sided coin in the end.
