Ron Paul Can't Win

I commend him for suspending the campaign rather than going scorched earth.

the day is young, if Paul listens to some of his more ardent supporters he won't stop until the GOP is hopelessly fractured not only on the national level, but on the state level as well.

great idea. Nothing like strengthening Big O's quest to make us a welfare nation.

Then the GOP would reap what it has sown. They have only themselves to blame for putting up turd candidate after turn candidate.

I don't think Ron Paul has much to do with that. I'd blame the internet for helping Republicans realize what their GOP has actually been doing for the last 25 years or so.

Quite honestly, the best thing that could happen to the GOP and American politics is for Mitt Romney to be absolutely obliterated by Obama this November. The GOP needs a serious wake up call, one that lets them know a party can no longer be carried solely by evangelical conservatives. If the Republican party wants to survive the next 20 years it needs to make a hard U-turn away from the extreme pseudo-right wing, and quickly.

Yeah . . . Nominating McCain in 08 and Romney in 12 just screams Evangelical takeover.

I think most of the other 3rd parties have started the nomination process.

He's ranting about the people being heard yet ignoring the fact that Ron Paul got 7% of the vote in the GA primary.

And you are ignoring that Georgia Good Ole Boys still felt the need to hand pick their delegates, in spite of that 7%...

How is that the will of the people?

I don't know. I'd have to go poll the other 93% and ask if they were just kidding when they voted.

Sounds to me like this guy got a cold hard slap of reality when he didn't have the numbers to overcome Robert's Rules of Order.
