Ron Paul Can't Win

A party tries to subdue an entire race, and you call it brainwashing when they switch support to the other party? I'm not following here. Since FDR the Democratic Party has been appealing to minorities for a number of valid reasons. The segregationist Republican Party only solidified that in the 50s and 60s.

segregationist Republicans?

were you raised in Jeremiah Wright's church or something?

George Wallace, Orval Fabus, Al Gore, Sr., Robert Byrd, etc. not ring any bells?

Since you basically have nothing to back yourself up I googled "Herman Cain Racist" and this is the top relevant result:

Exhibit A and B are both weak, and there is no Exhibit C. Saying black democrats are brainwashed is not racist. If he had said something like "[all] blacks are easy to brainwash when it comes to politics" then I'd be with you on this one.

Herman Cain's Racial Offense

Cain charges some in black community of racism – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

"Ok, bigoted," Cain said. "How dare Herman Cain, first, run as a Republican? How dare Herman Cain be conservative? And how dare he move up in the polls, so that he just might challenge our beloved Obama? That's the problem they have."

He's been saying little stuff like this for months; it just starts to add up to me. Like how he referred to blacks in that quote as "they."

just wait, Cain has a new ad coming out where he refers to blacks as "you people" and then claims that some of his best friends are black...

lulz

I don't think you know what you are talking about. Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act (1964) at a much higher rate than Democrats. Eisenhower introduced the first major civil rights legislation. Etc.

You're completely buying into one perspective on history and ignoring a lot of truth.

Interesting. I'd say the author is stretching. Ron Paul didn't know what interview Hannity was referring to. The reporter's name was not mentioned, nor was the lead-in question. I don't expect Dr. Paul to remember everything he's said, so if he says, "I think words were put into my mouth and I didn't deny them" I'm thinking it's not a big deal. He's not saying he disagrees with the point, he's just not sure he would phrase it that way. I doubt the reporter in question is upset about it.

if Paul's memory is that poor that he can't remember an interview from a couple of weeks ago, then perhaps he isn't fit to be POTUS. Either that, or he should learn to choose his words more carefully.

btw, here's Mulshine's interview:

My interview with Ron Paul | NJ.com

it's a pretty extensive interview and certainly not done in an ambush-style.

I'm not a huge fan of Hannity, nor his interview style, but Paul should have known that something like this was coming and had a better answer.

I completely disagree. I don't think being president has anything to do with remembering word for word what you said a few weeks ago. I can't remember half the things I said to my wife yesterday. I probably agreed to visit her sister. Obama couldn't even remember how many freaking states in the union there were (not that he's fit to be POTUS, but the point is if you speak enough, you're gonna have gaffes).

I'm honestly stupefied by your statement...

The democrats fought a war to keep Slavery Legal... ok lost that
They then tried share cropping... ya that sucked
Then they tried lynching... not a good move in the PR department
Then Segregation... Ok the Republicans are kicking our ass there in opinion polls.
They finally won hook line and sinker with LBJ's war on poverty in keeping them trapped as slaves again. Which LBJ was long long long after FDR. As a raw percentage the Republican party was much more in favor then Democrats

Sorry for the Hyperbole filled Rant there it just REALLY urks me when people spew ignorant stuff like that. Here is the reality:

Now in that page they have it broken by region and it's obvious that the south was far more opposed to it than the North. But as I understand the South was pretty largely Democratic dating back to the Civil war. So ya you've pretty much bought the same bullsh@t that the blacks have as well about the Republicans and Democrats. The Civil Rights Bill was LONG overdue (by over a hundred years) but believe me it was not the Republicans holding it up by any stretch of the imagination.

I know, like how Obama refers to the rich. He called them 'they' like 12 times or more in his last speech! The nerve! To act like he isn't one of them. The jerk!

How exactly should he (Cain) refer to the group of people that disagree with his politics? 'those bastiches'?

Getting closer to Ron Paul. Even if I disagree with his hatred of the Fed. If all he wants is an audit fine. But we need someone who will reel gov't in and not be bought, and I don't think Romney is that guy. Cain is done, Perry is done, the rest aren't close. I think Paul is closer than anybody gives him credit for. Who would he pick for his VP?

When asked who he would vote for in 2008, renowned African American economist Walter Williams at George Mason said, "Ron Paul".

When asked who his VP choice might be Ron Paul stated, "Somebody like Walter Williams".

I'd say it's a longshot (you almost gotta go with somebody with political clout), but that is my dream team.

Went to a Walter Williams speech a few years ago. The man is brilliant.

He will most likely choose Jesse Ventura as his running mate. Even if he doesn't win the republican nominee he will still run independent

Jesse Ventura is a 911 truther idiot who has no business being on a national ticket. Ron Paul would do well to stay far away from Tony Schiavone's former broadcast partner.

Where are you getting your info? There is no way he takes Ventura, and has he said he would run as an independent? I haven't heard that, and it wasn't his style in 2008.

he and Jesse's brother went camping

= Another four years of BHO.

But LG said that all Ron Paul supporters would vote for the R candidate even if it isn't Ron because of their hatred of the man in office now. The Paul supporters I know have unequivocally stated that they will no longer vote for the lesser of two evils, so you are probably right.

Google Jesse Ventura on Ron Paul it gives plenty of reason for someone to believe that he will choose Ventura.

and destroy his credibility? Ron Paul would be better off choosing Ross Perot.
