My only question with this is why didn't Bolton disclose this in his book?Associated Press:
Former National Security Adviser, John Bolton, told multiple colleagues in 2019 that he personally briefed Donald Trump on intelligence concerning Russian officials offering bounties to the Taliban for killing American troops.
Would that not be a failing of the intelligence community itself then, as that is part of their duty under law? That's one of the reasons I say there are lots of questions that need to be answered. I'm not going to disagree that Trump is incompetent and over his head in these matters, but it seems as if this may go beyond Trump and his shortcomings. Either intelligence isn't living up to their obligations, or more people are lying. The gang of 8 hasn’t been getting briefed on everything under Trump. And if they are it’s after the fact.
Look who the head of the ODNI was. They the last two and the one who was director when this occurred were Trumpers, not career intelligence members. They were out there just for this reason.Would that not be a failing of the intelligence community itself then, as that is part of their duty under law? "If reporting about Russian bounties is true, the White House must explain: 1. Why weren't the president or vice president briefed? 2. Who did know and when? 3. What has been done in response to protect our forces & hold Putin accountable?" - Liz Cheney, Chair of the House Republican Conference. You libs are ****ing hilarious
There is another possibility.... Trump was made aware of the intelligence concerning the Russian bounties and he is the one who is lying.Would that not be a failing of the intelligence community itself then, as that is part of their duty under law?
