Russia bounty on US troops

Lying under oath, about a sexual affair, while being deposed for a case against him on sexual harassment. People keep wanting to minimize what he did to make it seem more political. And any of us "unwashed masses" caught lying under oath during similar circumstances would be charged with perjury. You would agree that for a man being sued for sexual harassment his infidelity would be relevant, correct?

Perjury in civil trials is almost never prosecuted.

For context, the charges were perjury and obstruction of justice:
Article I, charging Clinton with perjury, alleged in part that:

On August 17, 1998, William Jefferson Clinton swore to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth before a federal grand jury of the United States. Contrary to that oath, William Jefferson Clinton willfully provided perjurious, false and misleading testimony to the grand jury concerning one or more of the following:
  1. the nature and details of his relationship with a subordinate government employee;
  2. prior perjurious, false and misleading testimony he gave in a federal civil rights action brought against him;
  3. prior false and misleading statements he allowed his attorney to make to a federal judge in that civil rights action; and
  4. his corrupt efforts to influence the testimony of witnesses and to impede the discovery of evidence in that civil rights action.
Article II, charging Clinton with obstruction of justice alleged in part that:

The means used to implement this course of conduct or scheme included one or more of the following acts:
  1. ... corruptly encouraged a witness in a Federal civil rights action brought against him to execute a sworn affidavit in that proceeding that he knew to be perjurious, false and misleading.
  2. ... corruptly encouraged a witness in a Federal civil rights action brought against him to give perjurious, false and misleading testimony if and when called to testify personally in that proceeding.
  3. ... corruptly engaged in, encouraged, or supported a scheme to conceal evidence that had been subpoenaed in a Federal civil rights action brought against him.
  4. ... intensified and succeeded in an effort to secure job assistance to a witness in a Federal civil rights action brought against him in order to corruptly prevent the truthful testimony of that witness in that proceeding at a time when the truthful testimony of that witness would have been harmful to him.
  5. ... at his deposition in a Federal civil rights action brought against him, William Jefferson Clinton corruptly allowed his attorney to make false and misleading statements to a Federal judge characterizing an affidavit, in order to prevent questioning deemed relevant by the judge. Such false and misleading statements were subsequently acknowledged by his attorney in a communication to that judge.
  6. ... related a false and misleading account of events relevant to a Federal civil rights action brought against him to a potential witness in that proceeding, in order to corruptly influence the testimony of that witness.
  7. ... made false and misleading statements to potential witnesses in a Federal grand jury proceeding in order to corruptly influence the testimony of those witnesses. The false and misleading statements made by William Jefferson Clinton were repeated by the witnesses to the grand jury, causing the grand jury to receive false and misleading information.

Is it still classified as unverified intel?

More compelling intel on this than on whether OBL was in the compound in Pakistan. Most intel the .gov gets has varying degrees of confidence - I wouldn't expect the WH to admit they knew about it and failed to act. I do expect them to address it, given the evidence. But no - Putin's boot licking bottom immediately came out and called it a hoax without even suggesting he'd look into it.

You misunderstand; Pence fired Flynn for allegedly lying about the contacts with Kislyak and now states the evidence doesn't support that. I'm not using Pence as "a source" but am simply piling on. Acting AG Rosenstein has testified the investigation was baseless.

Well, no; I don't think there is another instance of a sitting president, intel, DOJ, and FBI colluding to prevent the election of a candidate, then subvert his tenure once elected. Using Russian propaganda even as they accuse him of being that nation's asset. It's pretty fooking unprecedented.

I dispute your assertion that Flynn pled guilty because he was guilty; what is the evidence? I've posted mine.

You may challenge any of my posts at the time they are posted, not in some nebulous aggregate in which you don't have to compare facts.
NO, I don't misunderstand

Colin Powell suggests media had ‘hysterical’ reaction to Russian bounty reports

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell indicated on Thursday that media figures overreacted to a recent report that Russian officials placed bounties on the lives of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan.

“What I know is that our military commanders on the ground did not think that it was as serious a problem as the newspapers were reporting and television was reporting,” Powell told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell. “It got kind of out of control before we really had an understanding of what had happened. I’m not sure we fully understand now.”

He added: “But [commander of U.S. Central Command] General [Kenneth] McKenzie … he did not think this was of that level of importance to us. Remember, it’s not the intelligence community that’s going to go fight these guys, it’s the guys on the ground. It’s our troops. It’s our commanders who are going to go deal with this kind of a threat, using intelligence that was given to them by the intelligence community.

.... and that’s that . Now all that left to do is go back to the start and see how all those posts aged . 😂
There was enough information gathered through intelligence reports for this to be investigated, but Trump doesn't even want that to happen. If it involves Russia, Trump simply doesn't want to hear about it. Trump doesn't want it proven, or disproved. Trump didn't even ask Putin about it on a recent phone call. They (allegedly) only discussed the Coronavirus. Trump even called this intelligence "fake news" again today... as if the media was responsible for this story. The media wasn't responsible for this becoming a story, and it wasn't fake. There were people within the intelligence community who were leaking this intelligence to The New York Times, and they thought it was newsworthy. That doesn't meet any definition of "fake news". It's real, Trump just doesn't want to talk about anything having to do with Russia, if it's something bad. There are three options: 1) Trump is a weak and feckless coward when it comes to Russia. 2) Trump is compromised when it comes to Russia. 3) Trump wants something from Russia financially - a Trump Tower deal in Moscow, perhaps? ... after he has left office. Take your pick. Trump loves Russia.

Let me know if you run out of foil. I just bought a ****load of the heavy duty stuff at Costco.

He does only pop in to try to insult people like his leader using Twitter.
Trump supporter's views and opinions are purely flexible, based on whatever Trump does. If Trump was outspoken against Russia, they would agree that a harder line needed to be taken with Vladimir Putin... but since Trump is a Russian apologist, so are they. It is a cult. Trump supporters can't explain why Trump acquiesces to Russia or why he is so deferential to Vladimir Putin, and they don't care why... but since he is - then so are they. The people of Jonestown, Guyana in November of 1978, who drank the Flavor-Aid laced with cyanide, didn't ask what is in the drink... they were told to drink it, and so they did. Dear leader would NEVER be a selfish narcissist that would lead them astray.
