Saquon Barkley is the best RB I've ever seen

Let's just sum D4H up as not knowing 1/10th of what he thinks he knows..I have literally detested him since he started a thread that said he wanted to have Fla blow out TN the week of the game..And then claiming it was a "joke"..It certainly wasn't, as his continuous stream of posts in that thread and others proved..I don't post much about the ignorance of VN posters nor do I usually take offense with their opinions..But D4H CONSTANTLY states his opinion as fact..Which, IMHO, makes D4H quite possibly the most delusional poster on VN and, IMHO, the biggest windbag to ever post on VN..PERIOD..That is all..Carry on.....

Well, no offense to UTs personnel but D4H is a guy who proclaimed that UT had two LBs on their roster that were both better than Roquan Smith with Bituli and Kirkland .. I mean, there's being a homer and then there's THAT.

Guess Roquan chasing people down all over the field, destroying plays in the backfield, reading plays pre-snap at ridiculous level and quarterbacking that entire defense didn't pass D4Hs "eye test" ..

Agreed. Which is why he predicts so many Vols to be hall of famers. He’s delusional, he’s blinded by one of the worst cases of homerism I’ve ever seen, and he’s desperate for some kind of validation that he actually may know something. Basically him in a nutshell.

His failures go way beyond homerism examples. Among the plethora of previously cited examples here's a new one.

Foster is undersized and has poor tackling mechanics hence the shoulder and concussion issues. And I haven't even gotten into the character flaws.

Haason Reddick and Jarrad Davis will be world's better.

Now I'm not going to stoop to his level and pretend I know the future but I can say, with absolute certainty, Foster has a higher tackles per game than either of the other players he cited.

Thy nail has been struck firmly on the head :clapping:

Three types of D4H predictions:

Good Whoppers, few and far between but they are the ones MOST would have figured anyway (Kamara being good, Mayfield winning the Heisman)

Bad Whoppers, the group of his statements that he wants to show he isn't a homer (Bosa being lucky and not very good, Goff not being very good, Barkley being the best RB he has ever seen, Michigan being great this year)

And Homer Whoppers, which are the majority of his predictions and boy these are the thief that stole the credibility right here (Roquan not as good as Kirkland/Bituli, Dobbs becoming a HoF and best QB talent he has ever seen, Sutton being a HoF, UT winning SEC/Natty, Hurd being another Eddie George, I could go on)

I think he is about 15 years old and just wants attention more than being a troll. Maybe he bumped his head a few times too many walking down the hallway or something. Who knows, but I know this, every talent scout in the NFL would be fired if they went with his "eye test."

WOW! I hadn't seen that one before :eek:lol:

Assuming he is referring to Reuben Foster, Reuben is doing quite well this year and is a fast, bruising, instinctive MLB and probably will have a pretty nice career. But then D4H will refuse to give former Bama players any credit.

I'm guessing 2 years ago if I said Alvin Kamara was better than Derrick Henry and every other RB on Alabama's roster you would have said the same thing. And now we see Kamara in the NFL being significantly better than all those RBs at Alabama that people were touting in 2015 cause they had more success in college.

Roquan Smith is more successful right now than Kirkland and Bituli but in terms of talent and NFL potential both guys are better. They will both be similar to Alvin Kamara. More successful in the NFL than they were in college. While for Roquan Smith the opposite will be true. He'll never be as good in the NFL as he has been in college.

Daniel Bituli is the most talented LB in college football. Darrin Kirkland Jr. is a close second.

Then how come I was the only person here who said Derek Barnett wasn't a 1st round talent last year?

I don't hype up every Vol to be a Hall of Famer. I've only said that about 3 Vols thus far. Josh Dobbs, Alvin Kamara, and Cam Sutton. They just all happened to be from the same year so everyone thinks I hype up every Vol.

I have no said any one on the current roster is a future NFL Hall of Famer. And I've even projected to say it's unlikely we ever have a trio like Dobbs, Kamara, and Sutton. That was a unique one off event unprecedented in college football history. And I've said given the fact that Coach Pruitt will be following the Alabama blueprint when it comes to recruiting from now on, it's unlikely we ever have as much elite NFL talent as we had on the 2015 and 2016 teams.

I hate when y'all say this. Kamara went in the 3rd round. He had 4 RBs selected ahead of him. People thought he would be good but not as good as he has been. I was the only person that rated Alvin Kamara the #1 RB in the 2017 draft. Everyone else was on the Fournette, McCaffrey, and Cook train. I also was the first to say he was another Marshall Faulk. People laughed at that last year cause I was comparing him to a Hall of Famer. Now everyone is saying he's a Marshall Faulk type player.

So please stop trying to act like everyone saw this coming with Alvin. If they did he would not have gone in the 3rd round after 4 other RBs. I also would not have met so much resistance last year from Vols fans on this very site when I said he was a better NFL prospect than Fournette and Cook and that he would have a Hall of Fame NFL career.

Nobody but me saw this level of GREATNESS coming with Alvin. NOBODY.

A lot of people saw the Kamara success coming.

You just miss on all your other predictions so badly you have to attempt and paint a picture that you alone thought Kamara was going to be successful in an attempt to save face.

What the hell happened to you as a child? And you can't use the lunch lady excuse this time.

Been saying this for months now. That boy is simply special. He's worlds better than Ezekiel Elliott and Leonard Fournette who came out in recent years. And I have to say he's better than Adrian Peterson and LaDanian Tomlinson as well (who were the best RBs I've ever saw before Saquon Barkley).

Now obviously I didn't see the likes of Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, and Jim Brown play so I can't call Saquon Barkley the greatest of all time. But he is clearly the best RB I've seen since the year 2000/2001 when I started watching football regularly.

Reggie Bush, most versatile and electrifying college RB in 21st century . He was a scary game changer

Alvin Kamara just became the first rookie RB since Gale Sayers to have 5 rushing TDs and 5 receiving TDs in the same season.

How many people predicted him to have his name next to Hall of Famers? Not many.

There's a difference between saying Alvin would be good in the NFL. Most people did say that. But I was the only one who said he would be THIS good.

Remember everyone here but me thought Derek Barnett was our best NFL prospect. I was the only one that said Kamara would be significantly better than Barnett.

Stop trying to correlate saying Kamara would be good in the NFL with just how GREAT he has been. Alvin has even surpassed my expectations as a rookie. I thought he would be THIS good eventually. I didn't think he would be the best RB in the NFL in year 1. That has surprised even me. And I'm the only one who said he would be a Hall of Famer.

Sorry, did I miss the HOF induction?

A long way to go still. Let the kid get 100 carries before you call him Gale Sayers.

He's putting up numbers that only Hall of Famers have done before. He's not been inducted yet but this is how a Hall of Fame career starts.

Get over yourself!!!!!

Let me give you a little history lesson here. Back when the 2013 class was being recruited, UGA fans wanted Kamara bad (remember, I told you already I have been watching the kid since high school), especially considering at one point Derrick Henry was committed to UGA then Kirby and Pruitt worked to change that. But that was the year that Shaq Wiggins, Tray Matthews, Reuben Foster and Alvin Kamara were talking about the "Package Deal."

Well, as history has proven, package deals are typically not happening and UGA got the short end of the stick getting Wiggins (overrated) and Tray Matthews (thug and overrated, fit right in at Auburn) while Bama got Reuben and Kamara. When Kamara decided to leave Bama, UGA fans thought, hey we got another shot. Losing him in 2013 didn't hurt as bad having Gurley, Marshall on campus and 2015 Dawg fans had to suck it up losing him to UT knowing they already had Chubb and Michel in the mix. But believe me, we knew he was ultra talented and most wanted to throw him in the mix but the depth chart was something he didn't want to contend with which is a big reason he decided to part with Bama despite being friends with Reuben.

As I said before, you are WAY behind in seeing this kid's talent. He was teammates with Lorenzo Carter at Norcross High and anyone with one good eye and at least a glass one on the other side could see he was going to be a stud. Now, are you the first to call him a future HoFer? Sure, because doing that at this early stage is STUPID. Especially considering every other HoF RB was the bell cow for their team and not splitting carries with another Pro Bowl RB.

As for the others drafted prior, Cook got hurt but he and Fournette both were every down backs getting the majority of the touches and getting used heavily. Both were 4 YPC or better even still. So it isn't like they were a couple of freaking stiffs. Yet to be seen how well Cook comes back from ACL surgery but by this time in 2019 he very well could be back at full strength (he'll be back next year but it usually takes about a year and a half to be back all the way). So the Saints taking Kamara though already having a guy who can carry the full load made that pick a luxury pick and it was a good one.

Also, I don't care if it's you or anyone else, I hate the "this guy is the next insert hall of famer's name here" thing. It's almost disrespectful to the player not letting them just be, in this case, the next Alvin Kamara. Most just say that stuff because it sounds catchy or they don't have the ability to explain why a kid is really good. They don't seem to be able to relate that AK has great shiftiness, better than average vision, top end speed and is very tough. That stuff is what he has had for the last 5 or 6 years and it's just gotten better.

So in closing, NO, YOU WEREN'T THE ONLY ONE THAT SAW HOW GOOD THIS GUY COULD BE but I think the lower pick in the draft was a result of the fact he hasn't been a full-time, every down back since HS.

This is the dumbest post I have seen in a while from you and that's saying something. It's as blatant as homerism gets. Bituli would barely crack the two-deep at Bama and wouldn't start for UGA (well, considering how many injuries Bama has had to the LBs this year, he might get on the field then). Roquan is FAR AND AWAY a better MLB than Bituli. It's not CLOSE AT ALL and considering how sketchy your NFL predictions are and have been, it probably means Roquan is going to have a monster NFL career. His sideline to sideline speed is second to no one, his instincts are the the thing most NFL scouts are talking about and he sheds blocks as well as anyone at the position. He is the best tackler in the SEC and has missed ZERO tackles. You keep making statements like that above and when you get out of HS and get your first job, they are going to ask you to pee in a cup every week.
