Sec fans are dumb per ESPN

How is Trump more dangerous? Not trying to argue. Interested in your perspective. It's not often that Hayek gets mentioned for discussion.

I think if he wins again he is going to take this country past a point of no return in terms of diviciveness and executive power. He's reshaping our already questionable beauracracy in a way that benefits him- riding on the claim that he is "keeping government small." He's making the parts that do work, not work, and making it all work for him. Our government is broken. It doesn't work. It needs to be reformed to get the money out of politics but it won't. I think this will lead to a moment that everyone will call for adults to enter the room and we could end up with an actual tyranical government since we couldn't play with our toys like freedom and limited government well.

You could end up with him as a dictator- or, lead us to a point where we have a real dictator. The fact that I talk **** about racism makes everyone assume I'm a "leftist commmie." What does that tell you about the state of things? These social issues- Trump and the way he's treating these issues, along with left and right media cashing in on it all, is driving a knife into Americ's heart and this is the result. I'm actually fiscally quite moderate, but the social issues are what drive me and everyone else insane in this country, and until we get that dude out that cannot and will not change. Long live the Republic.

Fair enough. I don't agree with all of your points, but I see your position.

Me: Trump won't be a dictator. He may tweet like one, but he won't be one.

Good talk, man. One of these days, let's get into Hayek deeper.

You know, the Defense Production Act- which he should have used during the 3 months he had to plan for it and did NOTHING other than a travel ban. The fact that he didn't even talk to governors or attempt to make a coordinated effort to slow the virus. They worked amongst themselves, while the coordination should have been led by the feds. Only thing he was thinking about was the stock market.
You really believe this nonsense?

1. Cuomo's a blowhard.
2. I doubt the travel ban would've even been controversial had Trump not banned Muslims from traveling here.
3. Pandemic board was cut. Again, there was zero preparation on Trump's part
Did the travel ban even matter once it was here? Nope, we all knew what was going to happen. America would not be able to keep case numbers down because our we have an unbelievably incomptent person in the Oval Office.
Again, the world is laughing at us.
Keep em coming. This is comedy gold

I knew it was coming as soon as I heard that the rate of transmission is near measles territory, which was in December. Admittedly, I was a bit ahead of the curve- but I'm also not the President of the United States. We can't say for sure, but we can definitely say for sure that we had cases in March. Trump had 3 months to figure something out that someone with an internet connection could figure out was coming and he sat on his ass and ate steak with ketchup. He was in denial that it was coming until we had hundreds, and then thousands, of known cases.
Another beauty

Instead of saying this on Feb. 10th:
“Looks like by April, you know, in theory, when it gets a little warmer, it miraculously goes away. I hope that’s true. But we’re doing great in our country. China, I spoke with President Xi, and they’re working very, very hard. And I think it’s going to all work out fine.”

Trump, at a campaign rally in Manchester, N.H.

He should have said this:
"There are a lot of unknowns. This has the potential of being a very serious problem. Until we know more, it would be wise to take all reasonable precautions such as wearing masks, socially distancing, avoiding larger gatherings, etc.."
What would that have accomplished?

Serious question.

Instead of saying this on March 24th:
"Easter is a very special day for me. And I see it sort of in that timeline that I’m thinking about. And I say, wouldn’t it be great to have all of the churches full?”

Trump, in a Fox News interview

He should have said:
"Easter is a very special day, but this year celebrating and worshiping at home may be the wisest choice. If you do worship at church, wear a mask and try to socially distance."
How many deaths are you blaming on his Easter comments?

Faucci wasn’t recommending masks until April. So he would have been going against the top doc.

No, I decide what's right and wrong based on what works. Something the president has very little care for.

I could see how something that would require collective action would cause some cognitive dissonance, but that's what the pandemic required, and that's where we failed. Do I need to send you a list of all the countries that went into lockdown and significantly lowered their case totals?

If we had no lock down and kept everything open and literally changed nothing, we would probably have at least 300,000-400,000 people dead if not more.
Explain Sweden
