Sec fans are dumb per ESPN

You sure do make a lot of excuses for your guy Biden. Guess it's necessary to stomach a vote for him. He wanted trump to actually do less in the early days of this mess. Now he wants to mandate things he can't.

They're laughing because our govt proved to be dumb cowards instead of leaders. There should have been no further shut down once this virus was understood. Masks should be given to the vulnerable or trashed. Healthy people under 65 are simply not in danger.

I haven't said anything good about Biden. Just said bad things about Trump for contributing to our current state of politics.

What should he have done? Besides more Ppe stockpiles we've realized that state and local govt had much more influence than the feds. You chose to live in a poorly run state like CA or NY then you get what you vote for.

He should have communicated the overblown reaction to covid once it was realized. Instead he let fauci and crew drive the narrative. That's his biggest failing
Instead of saying this on Feb. 10th:
“Looks like by April, you know, in theory, when it gets a little warmer, it miraculously goes away. I hope that’s true. But we’re doing great in our country. China, I spoke with President Xi, and they’re working very, very hard. And I think it’s going to all work out fine.”

Trump, at a campaign rally in Manchester, N.H.

He should have said this:
"There are a lot of unknowns. This has the potential of being a very serious problem. Until we know more, it would be wise to take all reasonable precautions such as wearing masks, socially distancing, avoiding larger gatherings, etc.."

I knew it was coming as soon as I heard that the rate of transmission is near measles territory, which was in December. Admittedly, I was a bit ahead of the curve- but I'm also not the President of the United States. We can't say for sure, but we can definitely say for sure that we had cases in March. Trump had 3 months to figure something out that someone with an internet connection could figure out was coming and he sat on his ass and ate steak with ketchup. He was in denial that it was coming until we had hundreds, and then thousands, of known case.
At the end of Feb the speaker of the house was telling people to go hang out in Chinatown. Fauci and the WHO said masks didn't work. If they didn't know why would Trump?

Now that wasn't so bloody hard there was it

That's useless hindsight. No one was advocating masks and we were even being told not to wear them. He's a poor communicator but your scenario goes against everything being said at the time

1000% incompetent is more accurate. You know why I'm voting for Biden? Because the only thing worse than a corrupt politician is an incompetent one, and Trump has set the bar in that field.

Poor communicator is the understatment of the year.
I've never said any different. However claiming the potus should have said sobering that didn't become medically advised for a month is in that territory. It's complete nonsense

He said the virus was just going to dissappear. Of all the hacks in the government, I doubt any would be so stupid or incompetent to say that.

Instead of saying this on March 24th:
"Easter is a very special day for me. And I see it sort of in that timeline that I’m thinking about. And I say, wouldn’t it be great to have all of the churches full?”

Trump, in a Fox News interview

He should have said:
"Easter is a very special day, but this year celebrating and worshiping at home may be the wisest choice. If you do worship at church, wear a mask and try to socially distance."

This is what competence looks like

Did you really expect for Trump to be that reasonable and a critical thinker to give a response like the one in the second paragraph?

As long as you called for an equal shutdown of another constitutional right - protests.

Useless? Hmmm yeah dunno about that one
Then you aren't paying attention. They're was no need for them once we realized young, healthy people don't die from this at any significant rate. It was political theater and the TV Star got played. To be fair he was outnumbered by those salivating at the thought of govt handouts

No since no one in the world would have either given the data being shared. It's a worthless exercise based on the date provided
