The New York Democrat’s move indicates that the updated bill has the support of 10 Senate Republicans needed. The new deal updates language from before the election, and includes provisions to assuage GOP members on religious liberty related issues.

A group of five senators — Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.), Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) — released the updated legislation, which protects nonprofit religious organizations from providing services in support of same-sex marriage.

It also would protect religious liberty and conscience protections under the Constitution and federal law.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) told The Hill that provided the religious freedom amendment is part of the final bill, he will support it. That would make four Senate Republicans who publicly back the effort.

“I’d like to get onto the bill,” Romney said, calling the amendment a “positive step.” “If that amendment is attached to the bill, I’ll vote for it.”

“Through bipartisan collaboration, we’ve crafted commonsense language to confirm that this legislation fully respects and protects Americans’ religious liberties and diverse beliefs, while leaving intact the core mission of the legislation to protect marriage equality,” the five senators backing the new deal said in a statement.

Think of it like crime stats...what's a bigger deal...while all bad...it that 15 % of the population that committs 51 % of crime. This suggests that the resulting proportion of true pedophiles among persons with a homosexual erotic development is greater than that in persons who develop heterosexually. I’m calling BS on you stats.
Here in Chattanooga we had a rapist working at a local baptist church who molested an uncountable number of young girls. It was well known among the young people yet nothing was done for years. Straight privilege or whatever, the straight pedophiles are way under reported.

According to that study....but when you consider the push by the trans portion of the community to hypersexualize kids...dildo ring toss, drag shows etc. It becomes less surprising

They will push to desensitize society to pedophilia. We have already seen the next move, pedophilia is only an issue if it is acted upon with a child by the perp. If you’re just a pedo that never acts on it with a kid, then you’re just another person on the acceptable sexuality spectrum like everyone else.

Nice strawman you built there. I never said anything about gays being pedo's. Plenty of straights are pedo's. I said pedo's will be normalized, same as all other alternate lifestyles. It is already happening as they aren't labeled pedo's any longer they are called minor attracted persons...and yes many of you in a few short years will be defending them because you aren't bigots are you?
