Severe Weather Thread

Well, first tornado watch of the season out where I'm at.

Be wary Arkansas residents, squall line is moving east towards you.

I see it coming. ( per radar).

We have already had a "watch" here twice I think this year.

Be safe grand.

My worry is she builds more than she has on the way here. The river (arkansas) does one of two things. Takes the steam out of a storm, or fuels it. Mother Nature makes her own rules.

Rolled out just as quick as it rolled in. I live in a unique area that somehow manages to divert the storms before they hit. Very odd, but it works.

Well the skies have cleared and sun has come out... Very well may be a rough evening for us. Glad you guys are safe and sound.

It's looking like Saturday right on through at least Tuesday there is a good chance of a severe weather outbreak, with the emphasis being on Monday and Tuesday across AR, MS, TN and AL. While it is still a little to early to say for certain, a significant tornado outbreak is possible.

Might be exciting. The plateau seems to do a number on storm systems though just before they get into the valley. Doesn't stop them all though.

Getting pretty windy out where I'm at. Storm system is supposed to roll in later tonight or early next morning.

How weird is this radar image, it's like a giant circle?

~3am EST

Didn't amount to much here as I got bypassed (as usual) by the main part of the storm. Some hail and heavy rain, but was over fairly quickly.

Hopefully the cloud cover and rain will continue. That will kill an chance of a major outbreak. It will put a cap in the atmosphere

It's 84 here in Knoxville now, if it were to come barreling in it'd be pretty bad but they're saying occasional tstorms to begin at 8:15pm. Doubt it will amount to much in terms of severity.

So far it looks like it's mostly blown out of proportion.

NOAA gave Shreveport, LA a Torcon of 8 for this evening. Nothing on the radar at all there as of now.
