Severe Weather Thread

Lots of rain comingdown tonight after extreme winds earlier in the day. Flash flooding around town. Thinking about going for a ride to see it.

Watched two tornados on tv from KMBC news chopper at Hume, Mo just south of KC. Tornado watch until 2am.

Looks like some dry air is trying to wedge into East Arkansas and West Tn. That tornado warned storm in North Miss. is falling apart as its losing the tap of moisture.

The storms in Central Arky are forming behind the dry line. Hopefully this will kill any storms heading east into the night

I've seen a pic and it's got to be at least 1/2 mile wide. These are the kind of tornadoes that flatten entire neighborhoods in their paths.

Yep....EF4 type of Tornado still on the ground in Arkansas destroying everything in it's path. A very bad situation happening right now. Very long tracked strong tornado.

How is tomorrow looking for West TN?

Count started this thread 3 years ago today. Once again, just a bad bad situation for those in Arkansas. This one is for the record books.

That is when I took the screenshot from my phone as it passed through Vilonia

I guess we won't know for sure until we get aerial photos/video in the morning. If that was a single tornado and it traveled really far it had to be huge, maybe EF5 even?

Hard to say att. It was a huge wedge tornado that traveled a minimum of 80-90 miles. Storms tend to cycle so its hard to tell if the current tornado is the original or a new tornado that formed from the same storm.

Was right in the middle of all the tornado's today. I got to school in Searcy. Vilonia and Mayflower both got hammered hard tonight. I believe the death toll is up to 12. Lucky it missed us by a few miles.
