The reality, is that these last two games will keep Beamer off the hot seat. He was definitely headed there after that 38-6 loss to Florida. His time on the hot seat is coming if his teams don't start playing with some level of consistency from week to week.

Definitely changed the programs momentum. His current recruiting class is currently only ranked a few spots below UT.

UT fans have such a short memory. They win 10 games this year and all of a sudden they are going to one competing for a NC every year. UT had lost 4 or more games every year since 2005 before this year. SC is improving and Beamer is recruiting well. They won't be a pushover for anyone while he is there. He has proven he can beat almost any team on any given Saturday. Give credit where credit is due. He is doing a good job at a school where it is hard to win and recruit at.

For the time being ... but during his first two seasons, there has been no consistency to point toward. They scored 6 points vs Florida. That was just 3 weeks ago. Florida couldn't stop anybody this year.

He is 15-10. Having a short memory is pretending the 38-6 loss to Florida didn't happen. That was 3 damn weeks ago.

So UT fans have short memories, but you think Beamer has clearly turned things around despite losing to Florida and Missouri and being in a dogfight with Vandy in the past month?

Beamer has had a great couple of weeks. Show me the bowl game and what it looks like next year without Spencer Rattler then I'll buy it.

And their schedule is tougher next year. They open with UNC in Charlotte and play at Georgia and at Tennessee ... and will also play at Texas A&M. It's not a bad program. It's an 8-4 program ... and Beamer is an 8-4 coach.

... and I'm looking forward to that game in Neyland in September. South Carolina has not exactly been great on the road in September under Beamer.

.... and by the way, that is even assuming that South Carolina gets an invite to the Citrus Bowl. That is actually a better projection than where most sites have them. CBS has South Carolina playing Illinois in The ReliaQuest Bowl at noon on January 2nd.

How exciting.

That used to be the outback bowl. Not a bad place to be if you consider where they were before Tennessee and Clemson folded up like a cheap chair. If I were a USCe fan I’d be excited too.
