So you oversee social media and decide the right way and wrong way? Looks like he's doing it the right way as he's done a really good job with not very much to work with the last two years. He's young and full of energy and his players love it and look at how well he's recruiting. Sometimes you just have to give credit where credit is due whether you like it or not. I'm not a South Carolina fan but I have to give credit to the fact that he's getting a lot of attention and he's won some big games this year. It will be interesting to see how he does when he has several years of recruiting under his belt. Every coach is made aware of social media and uses it as motivation when it needs to be used in such a way. He was well aware of all the social media and others pointed out that Tennessee was basically a lock to get into the playoffs because all they had to do was play a terrible South Carolina and Vanderbilt team. It was all over this board as well as everyone here was planning on the Vols by "fiddy" or more so that they could make a statement to the playoff committee. Go back and look at the old posts about how the game wasn't just already won but that Tennessee was going to run up the score for style points. He had every right to be pissed and say something after that 63 to 38 beat down
Coaches responding on Twitter isn’t awesome it’s pathetic. If you’re in charge of a multi-million dollar organization, act like it.

I'm not a huge Beamer fan, but I can see why SC fans like him. He kinda seems like just one of us average guys who got a head coaching position at a big program. He just says what he wants to say.
That being said, I'm glad our game against them is early next year. I don't want to wait this out any longer than we already have to, we need to absolutely thump them into the ground and remind them of their place in the pecking order.
Sorry-tl;dr-didn’t realize I was talking to a troll. This concludes our discussion. So you oversee social media and decide the right way and wrong way? Not an honest discussion but now realize you’re a USCjr troll-byeSelective hypocrisy on the part of UT fans. Which year was Saban seen with a cigar while the members of the opposing team was still on the field? You're either above the fray or you're not. Imagine if an Auburn coach went to Toomers Corner to throw toilet paper in the trees. The two examples would be about the same.
Also, this forum has been around a long time. A quick search of the archives would surely turn up a huge trove of fans condemning Kiffin back when he told a prospect he would wind up pumping gas for a living if he chose S. Carolina over the Vols. Back then, many Tennessee fans were loving his "classy" approach because they thought they had the next zinger throwing Steve Spurrier.
Right?
I agree.. like they don’t have better things to do.. have someone manage that crap (social media) for you if I made that much money -and had that many responsibilities, I know I would lolYeah, but it does seem small for the head coach of an SEC team to be getting in Twitter fights with opposing fans. Beamer should be above that.
Agreed. Unfortunately the worst part of the loss is it’s the same as the Memphis loss in ‘96 (albeit in-conference). When you beat an inferior no-history program badly, it does nothing for you. When they do it, it’s their natty. Especially for a program like USCjr that’s only won a divisional title in their illustrious history. That’s literally the lowest of all the SEC schools.Even if we score 63 against them next year then it still wouldn't be enough for me.
We actually took our foot off the peddle last year.
We should've expected Clemson would look like garbage because they've been close to losing several games this year but the ACC sucks.
when a dude beats your ass...he can talk smack..blame the fan!Shane Beamer fires back at Tennessee fan, other Vols’ recent silence. Of all the coaches we had to lose to this clown? The South Carolina game in Neyland needs to be circled next season and we should show no mercy. Beamer is such a tool I hope we beat him like we did Mizzou this year and run up the score.

2010 I think. Won the east.I'm not trying to be funny but when did they win a divisional title?
I think this season has turned out a lot better for South Carolina than most expected by them winning the last 2. Think about it, they are sitting 6-4, in comes Tennessee thinking it's a forgone conclusion we win the game that we actually leave our best defensive player home suspended. They play their best game of the year that totally turns around their season. It gives them confidence to go into an overrated Clemson and beat a rival you hadn't beaten in 7-8 years because of a QB that reminds some of JG.
