Shortages and price variations where you are

Oh, I thought you could make someone responsible for another human. That’s right, you can’t.

No more so than you can make someone responsible for themselves. That's right, you can't.
That in absolutely no way releases the person from having the responsibility.

I never claimed I could make someone responsible for themself, they are responsible for themself. No way around that.

Sure they are. They are responsible for themselves and others. We can not make someone live up to those responsibilities, but they are there. No way around that.

There are 2024 flags now.

I can’t seem to locate any Build Back Better hats though. Weird.
Not weird at all. There is no rabid worshiping of Biden, never was.
That level of radicalized idolatry is strictly in the Trump camp.....been that way since 2016. That's what is weird.

There was rabid worshipping of Obama though. The first time I was ever yelled, screamed at, and cursed at in a political discussion was by a democrat and that was because I dared to criticize the Obama administration. The rabid worshipping since 2016 for many democrats has been for the party itself and government and not in one individual.

I would like to mention a few other things. I scrolled the Occupy Democrats Facebook page and about every 3rd post was of guess who - Trump. How many books have been written about Trump? How much is he talked about on the news even after his presidency? One could come to the conclusion that many democrats are just outright obsessed with Trump.

Notice I use the word "many" and not all.

By the way I'm not a democrat, not a Republican, and sure as hell not a Bush Republican or Libertarian. I'm a free thinking individual.

Obama was worshiped by many because of what he represented.
Trump is worshiped by many because of what he represents.

It's like comparing a Methodist worship service and a Satan worship service and saying they are the same because they are full of people worshiping.

Obama was bad but to compare him to satan?

Businesses have used this pandemic as an excuse to raise prices.

Supply, I’d like to introduce you to Demand and it’s cousin Scarcity.

In the summer of 2020 the demand for the raw materials my business uses decreased sharply which resulted in suppliers deeply discounting those materials to move them. I took advantage of that and invested in my business’s future by purchasing large quantities of raw materials of which many are now completely discontinued, out of stock or very scarce.
I’m sitting on those raw production supplies until the demand for what I produce rebounds sufficiently and it always does. Will my profit margins on retail sales be huge when that happens? Yes, but not because I’m greedy. It’s because I’m a smart business owner who understands supply, demand, scarcity and the way they will impact my business in future years. I’ll eventually have to repurchase raw materials at what will be higher prices but in 2020 I built in that financial cushion to compensate for it.

Saltine crackers, the normal ones are just gone.

Varrying brands of chips, seems like every week one of the big brands will be missing.

Sandwich meats will go missing as well.

Gatorade

Whole wheat bread.
We have plenty of Gatorade, condensed milk, saltines. What we are not seeing is beef products like roasts. They are only 2 lbs and under and strictly angus. Pork products are hit and miss.

I have laughed to myself over the past 2 years of the luck of any company that was managing their supply chain poorly in the run up to Covid. If you had been wildly heavy on inventory, you would have made out.

I made out like a bandit buying discounted raw materials at a huge % off normal pricing. 🤣
So one example, 10 pieces of one raw material for normally $70 bucks was purchased for $10 bucks and my production costs for retail sales pricing are based on normal material replacement costs not any discounts I’m able to grab on it.

It’s a real nice future material costs cushion to have been able to take advantage of.
