I am not sure that it would. I remember when they started banning smoking in bars. Bar owners were scared to death it was going to hurt profits and they found the opposite to be true. You might find that people who are vaccinated flocking to such locations.
This is also true of some casinos. The one in Cherokee went smoke free for covid and remained because business was better.

A better poll question would be should a business be allowed to require proof of vaccine and just how would they do that?

They can ask but they’ll just have to take your word for it. Then there’s people that can’t get vaccinated due to certain medications they already take. Can’t ask about that. Then there’s people that have natural immunity due to prior infection. Oh well, if they’re that worried just close it down.

I got one too and it was blank except for the Pfizer lot numbers. I could have scanned it and printed hundreds of them if I was so inclined.

Mine has my name on it and the Pfizer lot numbers. And yes they are easy to fake. Just as easy as the vaccination documents required by schools.

What in his religion prohibits the baking of a cake for a gay wedding?
Why are you asking me? He stated it was for religious reasons. I can speculate his beliefs don’t recognize the Union by marriage of a same sex couple. If you really care why don’t you look him up and ask him.

Not intending the thread or OP to be a gotcha, but I would point out that some GOP stars have opposed this. DeSantis promoted and signed a bill this last session that prohibits businesses from requiring proof of vaccination. I think i posted about it at the time because I thought it was inconsistent for conservatives to say on the one hand that government could not tell business that they must require proof of vaccination, but on the other have government ban them from doing so.
You think GOP stars and R supporters are pro individual rights???

You need to get out of the swamp waters occasionally.

It’s discrimination either way. Are we going to say that some discrimination is good?
Serious question…. Not trying to be a smart a.
Edit: I guess businesses treat loyal customers different than new ones at times so we could argue that they already discriminate. I just answered my own question, carry on :)

Years ago, I worked for a restaurant that put weight loss tips in the checks of overweight employees and told they would need to lose weight or be subject to termination. Discriminating against fatties is just good business.

And they didn't ask him to recognize same sex marriage. They asked him to bake a f#cking cake.

Fair enough.

But that illustrates a collision of sorts in the initial question. Does the liberty of the individual to choose not to get vaccinated yield to a business owner that insists upon it?

Wait until one wants to see someone’s HIV test.

Was it The Penthouse Club in Tampa?

We have to provide docs from our doctors office for school vax. Even have to do the same for our dog. The covid vax card is less secure than our kennel's records

How many business owners do you really think will implement this drastic change especially the ones that like to make money? I guess hipster coffee shops or fru fru boutiques that sell gluten free soap would be dumb enough.

I have a sheet of paper that has my daughter's name and the vaccines and dates. It could literally be typed up at home.

It might be a very savvy business move. If there was a local bar near me that had such a rule I would patronize it over others.

Well that’s clearly your take on it. To get the satisfaction you desire I encourage to reach out to the baker and have dialog on it instead of trying to bait some rando internet poster into a preaching moment for you?

I'm thinking the local bead store near me would implement this, it seems to a money laundering operation for a pain clinic anyway. No way in hell you can keep a storefront open and sell nothing but beads.

Why are you presenting it as a dichotomy?
