Constructive??
Unfortunately, we have a legend with dementia it is sad...but why start calling for an AD's head when she "feels" forced out?
What is constructive about that?
Pat Summit earned the right to coach from a her death bed if she wanted to. This is disturbing and shouldn't be tolerated. If true this azz clown needs to be torched.. His comments shouldn't have even been remotely being misunderstood by Summit IMO and should have told her your our coach and we support you until you see fit to retire..
If he did this to Summit then can you imagine what will happen to Dooley (even though it may be justified).. Dooley is toast.. Hart is a total loser if this is true.. Fire the Dirt bag before he destroys us. I mean any future new coaches would have to consider the integrity of Hart and could possibly cost us a good coach in the future...
Because he has proven to be as dishonest as the past AD. He has lied over and over and that should not be someone who is heading the UT AD. Most of understood that Pat would probably not be back. It should have been her decision and then he lied over and over about what his plans were and what his statements were. It isn't about the fact that Pat had to step down, I believe she would have come to that decision. It is about Hart's dishonesty in how he is riding rough shod over the Women's program. And might I add letting people go from the only programs that have never had any NCAA sanctions and have always run a program with integrity; unlike the men's side of the dept.
As do you.....
I think most of us can agree that Pat probably needed to step down, but that should have been her call, and she knew better than any of us did, whether she could still coach or not. The way Hart went about it was down right slimy and it's no way to treat a legend.Pat Summit earned the right to coach from a her death bed if she wanted to. Pat said it seemed like she was being forced out but she didnt say in what words. I would guess that Hart discussed with her what was in her, the university's, and the athletes' best interest.
Summit is a legend, but it was the time for her to step down. It would have been terrible for this to have unfolded into a debacle
Why do some of you keep saying "if it's true." Pat Summitt said it was true in her affidavit. Isn't that enough proof? Read the affidavit for yourself. It is posted at the bottom of the article.
I have suffered with a family member who went through this. One of the toughest things you have to do is take their keys away because it brings about a sudden realization. There is just not a good way to go about it, but it must be done.
Yeah, I saw where it said or implied that Hart said he was misunderstood but didn't state exactly what he did say originally. Interesting to see what the final outcome is.
This. You guys need to understand the situation without sensationalizing like the media....
It's a difficult situation, but in the best interest of Coach Summit and the Lady Vols, it was time to pass the torch. Save her name, respect, and the team from embarrassment and a media that tends to attack any weakness, even the perceived kind...
What bothers me is the way it was done and when it was done. He could have waited until after the NCAA tourny and given Pat time to come to him. Even though he called her back in after the tourny and told her that she had misunderstood, I think he was just covering his A$$. He also told Coach Summitt that he intended to do away with the Lady Vols and put everything under the Power T. Then when the press asked him about this he told them he had no intention of doing away with the Lady Vols logo. He is a liar and he has proven it. He also wants to take Summitt off the middle of the court and put it at the end of the court. He has no understanding of the Tennessee Tradition and I can't help but believe what Pat Summitt stated in her affadavit. I don't see how people can read her words and not see that he told her she would not be the coach in 2012-2013. I really believe Coach would have left on her own terms. He didn't have the moral right to do what he did even if it was legal. It was totally classless.
