Bama was favored by 10 points in a matchup vs Wisconsin. Wisconsin would get blown out by Bama.

Wisconsin played a softer schedule than Bama.

It’s not a popularity contest to see that Bama is a better team than wisconsin.

It’s about the best, not most deserving.

The participation trophy crowd here never disappoints.

All that was ever said was "let them play it on the field". Putting Bama in the playoff takes that completely out of the objective. Should have just left it the way it was

Right, because the underdog never wins.

How much of a softer schedule? We are talking about 5 ranking spots. That is a wash. This is from the same poll that put UT ranked 64th even though we played two playoff teams. We aren’t top 10, but you can’t tell me there are 63 other teams that played a tougher schedule than us.

How do you know for an absolute fact Bama would beat Wisconsin?

So you think Wisconsin’s conference schedule in regular season is on par with Bama’s SEC schedule?

Just compare the teams. If you need a SOS ranking/stat to say that the Big 10 West is equal to SEC West, I got ocean front property in Tennessee to sell you.

The rankings say they are about the same. Number 9 vs number 14. If you want to throw out the rankings then we can talk about that and a whole host of other teams are in the discussion.

What you are saying here is based totally on opinion. 9 vs 14 isn’t that much different, and Wisconsin actually played for their conference title.

Once again, are you saying Auburn, Miss State, LSU, and Texas A&M are equal to Purdue, Northwestern, Iowa, Nebraska????

The fact you’re saying that the Big 10 West is equal to SEC West shows the lack of simple football knowledge in your argument. Guarantee every coach in the country would disagree with you.

I’m not saying that. The rankings are saying the comparative schedules for Bama and Wisconsin are roughly equal. And it’s an absolute fact Wisconsin played an extra game Bama didn’t.

Yet SOS doesn’t take into account recruiting rankings or coaching records. It’s solely on W/L because SOS rankings change throughout the season because W/L records change thru the season.

Based on your logic, Saban is not better than Paul Chryst because Saban didn’t win the West and Chryst did. Silly boy.

2017 should stand on its own. That is the only way it should be when determining 2017 playoffs. You really disagree with that?

And in 2017, Cryst did accomplished more in his conference than Saban did in his, with a comparative schedule based on rankings. Fact.

Because of 1 game..... Wisconsin away with their division because the other teams lost a lot of games.

I’m saying the SOS rankings show Wisconsin and Bama had roughly equal schedules. I’m not saying jack **** about conference divisions. I’m looking at the teams, schedules, and body of work.

Sure you are. You are saying that they are equal schedules because of a ranking. That means you are saying the SEC West is equal to Big 10 West because their opponents are their schedule!

You can’t claim they have equal schedules but then say their divisions aren’t equal. But hey, keep letting your boat/argument keep taking on water.

Alabama is a better football team and their resumes are similar. Easy choice by the committee. I mean Wisconsin wasn’t even the next team in.
