So the committee is officially a joke

Nope, wrong yet again.

I’m looking objectively at a body of work. You guys are stuck on who wins the popularity contest.

Your body of work is claiming that they have equal schedules and teams. While a ranking says so, that’s far from the case. You need to learn context.

Sure you are. You are saying that they are equal schedules because of a ranking. That means you are saying the SEC West is equal to Big 10 West because their opponents are their schedule!

You can’t claim they have equal schedules but then say their divisions aren’t equal. But hey, keep letting your boat/argument keep taking on water.

You do realize SOS is based on more than what conference somebody plays in, right? It’s a part, but not the whole thing.

How could we ever determine comparative schedule strengths of independents. I guess the math would break?

And for the last time, I’m not saying anything based on opinion. I’m looking at the SOS rankings. THATS IT.

If you want my opinion, sure, the SEC West is better. We good now? But the SOS ranking is roughly the same between Bama and Wisconsin.

Your attempts at cuteness and attacks are making you look foolish.

I’m game. Based on what objectively? I’m not interested in your opinion. I’m interested in your facts.

Better players, better wins, better coach, harder schedule.

Just off the top of my head.

Harder schedule is a wash based on SOS. Better wins? Not based on the numbers.

Better coach, players? Ok, sure. So you are advocating teams get preferential treatment before the first game is played based on who’s their coach?

Opinion: I think Bama is probably...probably, the better team.

Fact: By the numbers, Wisconsin accomplished more in 2017.

Because Bama didn’t play in a championship game, we can look at the regular season. Who’s better, a 1 loss team with SOS #9, or an undefeated with SOS #14? Take the names out of the decision and just look at the numbers.

You realize if you take out Wisconsin’s game against OSU their SOS isn’t in the same ballpark, right?

If we are going by regular season as you say, Wisconsin SOS isn’t anywhere close to #14

Just went back and did the numbers. Wisconsin regular season SOS was 45th.

True, you’re right. I’m going by regular season because Bama couldn’t get to a CCG. At the end of the day both had the same number of wins before the playoffs. Wisconsin’s SOS was paid for by one loss.

So apples to apples, which is better. #9 SOS with one loss, or #14 SOS with one loss but played for a conference championship?

Conference-wise I’ll say SEC is better, but after this bowl season so far I’m not so sure.

Feel stupid yet? I mean seriously. UW played nobody until a game they were forced to play.

Good chance both teams in the championship game will be from the sec

And you answered your own question. Who cares that they played in their conf championship game.

You play no one. The one real game they have they lose. How the hell would you put them in over OSU? So the next thought is well OSU should get in. Well they have lost twice.

I know, I was agreeing with your post, playing in the conference championship is a irrelevant argument as you should not benefit from being in a weak division, it was clear if they were in the opposite division they would not have even made the championship game

I was never very good at math, but I’ll give it a shot:

UCF beat Auburn + Auburn beat Georgia and Alabama + Georgia and Alabama will play for national title + UCF never lost a game =

UCF is the best team in college football.
