I say bring Trooper back. I loved him when he was here. Great motivator and a players' coach! People, we need to swallow our orange pride and do what we gotta do to start recruiting well and winning again!! That integrity crap has gotten us nowhere! Desperate times call for desperate measures...

Sweet lets bring back one of the most dirty coaches in the country while we are on probation. So when the NCAA hits him with a show cause in a few they can just go ahead and give us the death penalty.

This is one reason I have a problem with everybody wanting to have a coach with UT history because when he leaves he becomes the villain

I get the whole integrity with Trooper. I'm not a huge fan myself. However, if Butch truly wants to compete with the Alabama's and Florida's of the world in recruiting and on the field, he's going to have to take a chance on coaches like Trooper and do his best to keep them out of trouble.

Trooper Taylor would almost guarantee a huge class next year. Maybe Jones can get it done regardless, but hiring Trooper would make it a lot easier. Jones needs a guy who has relationships with the 2014 kids already. Not only does Taylor have that as a coach to begin with, he also has it because of his son. You guarantee yourself an early commitment from his son, who can talk this place up to recruits. From Todd Kelly to the Berry twins, this would be huge for 2014. It's the shot in the arm Butch needs to be successful here. Sure it's a risk, but without taking these kinds of risks, chances are pretty good Butch won't be here in 3-5 years. It stinks, but this business is what it is.

Randy Sanders is FSU's curent RB coach. Any chance we hire him in same position here? I don't see Trooper Taylor happening with potential NCAA issues at Auburn.

4 championships in 6 years says your wrong. He has proven alot. Tee chose not to come here. Jay chose to leave here. Blaming CBJ for that is just silly. The man has not coached a game here yet.

Once again, what big time bowl games has he gone too and what big time teams has he beaten.

I know I'm labeled a nega, but I will have the wait and see approach. He does have a good résumé and record for someone of his history. However, there is a reason he was on Colorado and Purdue's list and not big time programs that have our atmosphere and facilities. I know we are down and not relevant, but what we offer before kids step on the field is second to none.
