Socialism Fails Everytime ...

Yes. Greed is good.

You like to brag about your children’s accomplishments (rightfully so, I might add), but why did they accomplish things that made them financially successful? It is in no small measure because of instinctual greed. And greedy successful people accumulate resources that are used in many ways to assist and benefit those who are not as greedy and successful as they are.

Socialists are just as greedy. They simply chose a path to use the overwhelming power of the state against the individual to accumulate their power and wealth under the guise of helping others.
Greed is not good. We can pointlessly go around in circles, but it would only prove my point. Many in the US have been programmed to view greed as a positive.

You're clueless. A CEO is supposed to work for a reasonable profit. It becomes greed when the desire for increased profit causes him to make decisions detrimental (harmful) to society, customers, employees.

What if they only want that profit for their family? You told me that wasn’t greed.

And what’re ceos doing that is harmful to the groups you listed?

I don't understand your first question.

How tobacco companies marketed their product to kids and tried to hide the scientific data of its harm is a perfect example of when a desire for profit crosses over to greed.

Why did you choose the career you just retired from?

Greed

Description
Greed is an uncontrolled longing for increase in the acquisition or use of material gain; or social value, such as status, or power. Greed has been identified as undesirable throughout known human history because it creates behavior-conflict between personal and social goals.

The worst politicians are the ones most motivated by greed.
The worst CEO's are the ones most motivated by greed.
The worst people are the ones most motivated by greed.

What about the tobacco farmers that used their profits from the plant to feed, cloth and educate their children? Bad greed or no?

Tobacco companies, like all people and all companies, were greedy before they did anything unethical. You're pretending "greedy" and "unethical" are the same. They are not. Those are different words with very different meanings.

"A CEO is supposed to work for a reasonable profit. It becomes greed when the desire for increased profit causes him to make decisions detrimental (harmful) to society, customers, employees."

What if they only want that an "unreasonable profit" for their family? You told me that wasn’t greed. You said you do what you do for your family and that it is not greed. So if they are making large profits for their family, that's cool right?

Not being at our current point may not be a bad thing.
Are there positive byproducts of greed - certainly.
But nowhere near all innovation and technological advancement was motivated by greed.
You define incentive as greed which is your mistake. Not all are motivated by money but removing the private sector from innovation and tech would absolutely hinder advancement in almost all areas. History showed that to be true

At what cost?
Wealth does not = quality of life. It's only one of multiple variables.

Sure. You could argue hunter/gathers have a better quality of life I guess, but that's highly subjective and the wealth created by capitalism would even enable you to buy land and live as a hunter/gather if you wished.

The more capitalistic a country is, the wealthier the country and the better the people's lives are.

Borderline. They should have been looking for other crops to grow in the future.
Feeding your family by knowingly harming others is greedy.

Disagree.
