Something that caught my eye....

SGMVols bashes the coaches, he boos the team when recruits are in the stadium, he belittles the players. What a smart guy he is. He probably beats his dog and sprays water on his cat. The sky is always falling. He reminds me of the old HeeHaw song: "Gloom, despair and agony on me. Deep dark depression pain and misery. If it warn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all......."
+1 :hi:

This. I know some pessimistic people, but SGM takes the cake.

What's worse then... The one who calls it the way it is, or the one who takes the "wait-n-see" approach then acts surprised when the results are fecal?

That isn't "calling it the way it is".

Someone who takes a "wait and see" approach has already acknowledged that things could be bad. They just haven't written off the possibility that it could be good... and then allowed that outlook to jade their perception of EVERYTHING.

There are places recruits can go where coaches never get criticized. The problem is that they all play in D-2 or lower.

There isn't ONE SINGLE THING wrong with legitimate, objective, respectful criticism... but that isn't what you do.

Right, you both know exactly what I do in Neyland Stadium and at home.

As Lofton4Three would say...Go take a bath with a toaster.

You can both enjoy Ignoreland.
Im not trying to pick a fight, but what good do you see in Tennessee's football team right now?

If Dooley hadn't sucked in the WAC, you would be right.

I am right anyway.

I don't know what he did in LT compared to a realistic standard. People smarter than you, more informed than you, more experienced than you, and far more rational than you have said he did a well above average job with La Tech.

Forgive me if their opinions carry more merit than your knee-jerk, "I'm pining for Kiffin" carping and complaining.

If that's true, why does his record not reflect that? One would think that if Dooley made them so much better that he wouldn't have had the exact same record as his predecessor.

Sjt is the guru to experience.

Be prepared for a lecture on business ethics.

Who are said qualified people?

You know they say similar crap with every hire, right? LSU praised their Gerry DiNardo hire for goodness sake. Alabama praised about 14 in a row until they just went out and hired someone that there are no questions about as a college football coach.

Im not saying to pretend like there aren't any problems, and we aren't in rebuilding mode. Just try and see a little good in your favorite football team...
