Spurrier takes another shot at vols

Little Stevie still butt hurt from 50 years ago when the Vols didn't want him. He usually just mouths off toward a team or program when he's beating them...I watched Palardy's kick beat him again last night, so it must have been the booze talking.

That's the author of that story.

Reminds me of that movie where Will Smith rips the helmet off that vicious alien only to find a little pathetic weakling inside that was easily subdued.

Why do we let some kid like this who gets a bonus every time he can stir the pot and get his bosses hits / views manipulating the obvious into some sort of zinger?

I have to agree that CSS will be missed though.

As usual, the guy makes a decent point in an abrasive way. Personally, I like that we play Alabama every year despite the fact that it's unquestionably not in our best interests short term. Long term, I think it's good for us. It gives us a team on the schedule every year that will absolutely run us off the field until we're ready to be nationally competitive again. When we finally do beat a Saban-lead Alabama team, nobody will be able to deny that the Vols are a force to be reckoned with again.

we would be in the sugar Bowl every year if we could play Spurrier coached teams 11 times a year.

Spurrier has been butt hurt for 50+ years against the Vols. Ended up at FL which was a nothing school back then. He knows he gets press time when he goes into his tired little act. We can retaliate best by ignoring him except for the one Saturday in October when we play his crap teams.

Yes I am sure he is so upset with the heisman he won as a player and the title he won as a coach.

I've said this elsewhere, but any doubts I had that Butch Jones is the man to bring UT football back from the abyss have been banished by Steve Spurrier.

Now he's like one numerous losers that lives his dreams out through programs other than his own.

"Oooh we didn't beat Tenneseee! If Alabama sticks it to them, then I win!"

Uh, no.

This seems pretty funny to me for some reason

Never cared much for Spurrier, even in high school. He played 4 years at Johnson City Science Hill at baseball, track, football and basketball. He was a senior at Johnson City when I was a freshman at Elizabethton.
He beat us in football and basketball. Always glad when Tennessee beats a Spurrier coached team! He didn't do well in Wasahingtton as head coach. He used a Gator for QB and that didn't work out. Dumb move!

He's getting his comments in now during the offseason, but I bet he won't have a lot to say pre-game this year, considering his last trip to Knoxville ended like this:
