They've got a new series that just started which takes place between A New Hope and Empire Stikes Back. I usually don't get into the SW comics but I picked up the first issue for my nephew. It was pretty good.

Overkill IMO. Be better off releasing Eps 7-9 every other year year then move into the expanded U stuff. Once a year will saturate the property.

There was a proposed TV series about smugglers set between Eps 3 and 4 that would be more interesting than annual movies.

Here’s some news worthy of fanfare:
John Williams will return to compose the music for J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy announced today.

The news came out of Star Wars Celebration Europe II, a fan gathering in Messe Essen, Germany. The video above played for the crowd immediately after she revealed his participation in the intensely anticipated followup to Return of the Jedi.

Williams says he hasn’t learned any story details for the film, which is the way he prefers to work. “I’m waiting anxiously like the audience around the world to find out what the surprises are, and discover what my continued role is going to be,” Williams says.

He and Leonard Nemoy should form a pension actors guild.

I guess it's good to have Han back - will be interesting to see how Grandpa Han fits into the new story line.

No, but we should expect some damn time traveling or other inexplicable or unexplained plot contrivances.

He mad the new star treks relevant when most thought they would blow harder than Superman Returns. He did Fringe.
