I'm not sure I love the Force Awakens. It's not as fun as the old trilogy. Too much of an action movie, not an adventure story. I think of it like the Dark Knight. Was a huge hit. Enjoyed seeing it, and it got great reviews. But the Dark Knight isn't all that rewatchable like an Indiana Jones or Episodes 4 through 6.
I just got in from seeing it again this evening and I think I caught something that hasn't been mentioned or I haven't seen it talked about!
In the scene where Rey is being interrogated by Ren and he is reading her mind he says something like "You dream of a vast ocean and an island, I can see it too!"
So she is has been dreaming of where Luke has been?!

My wife made an interesting observation about TFA that I never thought about before. She said "I notice that people sweat in this movie. I've never seen Star Wars characters actually sweat before." After thinking about it, she's right! Especially in the prequels. Even when fighting each other on the lava planet Mustafar, Anakin and Obi Wan never once seamed to break a sweat. They should've been drenched after that fight. It was yet another little detail that IMO made TFA seem grittier, more real.
Star Wars is a family affair. It's all about the Skywalkers. The whole way that Anakin/Luke's lightsaber 'called' out to her. They're pointing to Rey bring Luke's daughter.
In the books (that aren't considered canon but they've clearly borrowed ideas from) Han and Leia had a set of twins, Jacen and Jania. Both were trained as Jedi. Jacen turned to the dark side and was eventually killed by his sister. Kylo Ren (Ben Solo) is clearly Jacen Solo. Rey will likely be either his sister or cousin.

I thought this as well, slight spoilers for the EU and one line about a crazy fan theory that would be awesome if true.
The only real difference between Ben/Jacen is we got to see Jacen go from good to evil similar to Anakin (only with actually good reasons and storytelling) and we also see 100% that he is one of, if not the most powerful Force conduit ever with what he does in the Yuuzhong Vong War.
I think what we've seen of Kylo Ren so far is insane. He stops a blaster mid air for an extended period of time with no stress on his body while doing it. He takes Chewie's clearly showed off multiple times to prove its OP bowcaster to the stomach and doesn't even get knocked back, and then kicks one of the best stormtrooper's in his army's ass followed by one of the more powerful good force user's in the universe as well up until he literally tells her how to beat him.
And all of this is before we find out he never even finished training. I wouldn't be shocked one bit if he comes back as strong as Anakin would've been if he hadn't lost 80% of his body. Especially if the crazy fan theories are truly and Snoke is actually Plagueis, which I think would be pretty awesome in it's own right.
I broke down and decided to watch E1 with my kids. It donned on me that there is a 3rd black character FIn could be decended from, Amidala's no name security General.
Also noticed a character from the clone wars, bounty hunter Aurra Sing, watching the Pod Race. It was kinda cool to spot her.

I did not like the black dude, I thought he was completely out of place. the battle with that black dude and the jedi should have lasted about 15 sec. the jedi could have picked him and thrown him a couple of times against a tree.
I was wondering a little if Fin would turn out to be somewhat strong in the force as well.
Yeah I'm not sure Finn is even a halfway decent stormtrooper.
Hes not no-named. His name is Captain Panaka. He was replaced in Attack of rhe Clones by Captain Typho, the black actor with the eye patch (supposedly because he wanted too much money).
